Why not bring old Veigar back but keep his new ult?

I got that skin for him and then he gets butchered. I wanna be able to use it because it is so cool.

So, why not just bring back old Veigar and keep his ult damage nerf? I rarely seen Veigars and now they are even more rare. If it was because of his point and click stun(which was super predictable), why would you gut it? Point and click CC isn't toxic gameplay, its required because all of these new champions have some kind of dash, jump, blink or untargetable. For me, it isn't fun when the enemy champion can just fly all over the place and I cant even click on them.

No. As much as I loved old Veigar's "if you get within 1075 range you are stunned and dead" it was horrible gameplay and left his other skills being meh. He had an ultimate tier ability on a basic ability slot and an ultimate; he still has an incredibly strong stun box, but it is less "this would comfortably the R key on most champions". An instant, 1075 range 2.25 second AoE stun cage that also lasts an extra 3 seconds was powerful enough that DISREGARDING HIS ENTIRE KIT he was played support for it.
