Mastery Ranking has way too much focus on CS.

I understand that CS is a pretty important part of league but the ranking system puts way to much focus on CS.

I played Jhin and went 19/3/14 but only had 196 cs. I killed or had an assist on every tower except one and had the most damage in the game. This somehow only got me an A. Meanwhile, the Yi with 238 cs and was 13/9/8 got a S-. I was pretty heated after the game because of this. I want to know, do you guys think the ranking system puts too much focus on CS?

I wish these types of posts would comparing Champion A to Champion B with the mastery. Read the FAQ. Your rating is based on how you did vs other people playing that exact champion in that role, so how a Master Yi did has no bearing how you as a Jhin did.

Also based on others playing said champ. So you are going against how well every other person playing Jhin (A super popular adc) versus yourself. I have the same problem on Zac no matter how well I do it is never good enough for S.

CS = Gold Gold = Items Items = Power Power = Victory Victory = Mastery Ranking Focus

I dislike the fact that it compares other people for the ranking. Everyone plays differently, and some people play better than others. For me, I focus less on CSing and more on team pushing/teamfighting when I jungle. If they are gonna compare players, it should be loosely, because people are not the same, and are not gonna have the same stats as the average person all the time, if ever.

No, not really. CSing is extremely important.

CSing is the most reliable form of gold generation and gold is the most important stat in the game, without it, other stats mean nothing. You can't buy stats with no gold. It makes sense that CSing counts very highly towards S ranks. I personally believe that it doesn't actually look at your CS, it probably looks at your gold and because CS gives so much of it, it seems to grant S ranks to people with unusually high CS counts, because they would have a lot of gold.
