Etiquette in the Jungle

After I (Jungle Poppy) gave Syndra my blue buff and she took the little ones too. We were cutting through their jungle to go from mid team fight to bot push/drag. I ping to back away from enemy blue buff after I alt-notify: 13% mana. Meanwhile she has full mana.

Syndra : I didn't you you wanted blue buff

Syndra : You're Poppy!

Poppy : Really? Oh, I AM Poppy. I had no idea.

Poppy : Now you just reset and wasted a blue buff

Freaking greedy mid laners. So Poppy doesn't use abilities now or something?!?! Tell me where the logic is when Syndra still had 3/4 of a blue buff.

as far as i stand on the issue , ITS YOUR DAMN JUNGLE, you dont have to give any buffs or camps. if they wanted blue so bad tell them to invade the enemy jungle and take that blue on their own.

It was the enemy blue buff in the story

you missed the point i was making, my point is it is the junglers jungle, its is their buffs . i am aware of the OP and i read it. my point is you dont have to give away your jungle at all. it is u as a jungler trying to help the team by giving blues or reds. or letting people farm small camps if they get behind or ect to catch up. but if you dont give the buffs they cry and afk ect and blame them losing lane/dying on you not giving buffs. but if i need my buffs or if i can invade and take a buff from enemy you dont have any right to take from me , now if i ping it for you and i leash it out and back off to let you take then you kindly say ty. dont ever assume you can come and take. im the type of jungler who saves smite and will smite it out of spite if you roam over with out me telling you or pinging you to come to expect to have my buff.

You don't have do do anything, but chances of winning are usually much greater when jungler frequently donates blue. AP midlaners almost always get much more strength from it.

junglers have cds, mana ect. if my champ needs it more then you then i dont care im not giving it. but i typically play jungler from the point of view of a 2nd support and i do what i can to make my lanes win. i ward, i buy pinks, i give buffs, i talk shuttle crabs to provide more vision, if i gank in lane ill try my damnest to give kills to laners. instead of taking. ill die for a feed carry instead of letting them die because they are worth more and if they are that fed and ahead they just keep snowballing. but the way i look at league and play is different then the majority. also the reason of my jungle play and the junglers i pick * which i pick based on team comp and enemy team comp* * ill fill the role we dont have at jungle* is im a support main.

support and jungle are very similar roles when it comes to decision making, map awareness ect.

IF jungler needs it more than your teammate. But that's a much bigger if than it would seem.

After first clear or second clear, junglers get 180% bonus MP5 from their item, amount a mage won't get even if they sacrifice damage and get Athene's. On top of that, very mana hungry junglers can get hunters potion. Moreover, mana regen from blue buff is percentage, so mana part is almost always stronger on your mage, if you have one.

AP part is also obviously much stronger on a champion that stacks AP, while there are AP junglers most of them only build moderate amount of AP, than going for tankiness or penetration.

CDR is generally strong on everyone, but than again, there are many AA oriented junglers, who don't need it that much at all.

If jungler is a Diana or Nid, and mid is Zed or Yasuo, or jungler is simply fed AF, than yeah, they will make better use of blue buff, but other than that buff is almost always better given away.

Red, though, is almost always better on jungler. It makes ganks deadlier and allows to take objective around the map more easily.

I beg to differ, jax top lab gets about 40% more dueling power when he has red then when he doesn't because of the ON HIT true damage

It is very strong indeed on basic attack champions, but Jax top can get a kill and cs advantage/tower out of it, or he can get absolutely nothing out of it, if enemy happens to deeply freeze the wave. Jungler can use where it is possible to achieve some.

I don't mind if my jungler give out red, I just think donating blue is much more important.

i dont disagree with you at all. however for mid or adc to think im gonna give them my buffs just cuz the are mid or adc is stupid. its my resource to gold/exeperience i will give buffs when i feel is needed. which in 85% of the case i tell my mid/adc whoever to go take buffs when they are up. but if im behind and i need the gold and experience from my camps then they are mine. alot of times i wont give blue til 3rd spawn. typically 2nd but if i need to keep up with farm and gold income i will take.

as far as what buff goes to who if i have a caster bot lane like Ezreal and i know blue helps him alot and he is blue side bot ill give him blue . or alot of times ill give red to top to give them an advantage in lane if they can use it on their champ well. like i said i play jungle as a secondary support and i do what i can to make my laners win. but for some assclown demands me to give him my buffs or tries to take it when i dont ping for him to have or tell him to come get then he can get fuked

I will not give out a blue unless I know my mid laner is competent, and this is ontop of the fact, that morellonomicon now provides them with a source of mana. Secondly, at lvl9 elixir of sorcerery becomes available, giving them mana regen and ability power. Mid laners have the tools at their disposal to acquire mana and sustain it, therefore they need to use it, otherwise why should I hand out my blue to someone who is incapable of properly handling their own champion.

Managing your own resources is something I feel is incredibly important and only once proven capable of handling said resources do you deserve a reward. Yes, I will smite the blue and punish my mid laner for taking it without permission, as I also play mid/jungle primary and I don't take buffs without asking, and if they say no, then I make it a priority to properly manage my own resources, or play a champ I know has good mana sustain like Swain/Karthus/Malzahar/Xerath.

None of this is hard to figure out if you're willing to practice resource management and research the champions you're playing.

I take blue buff on Shyvana if my mid laner is rude. Just to spite them. But most the mid laners I have are fairly nice to be honest. And ask for it. Heck, if my team is nice, after I get my 300 stacks on SoA I just tell everyone to take all the jungle they want.

My mid wasn't rude til just then. I like to help my laners out if I can, especially after stacking SoA. I also like to stay viable for a team fight, kiting, or dragon. PLUS getting the extra AA damage on turrets with Spellblade passive after ability takes it down faster, spamming abilities mana. Ergo don't waste buffs when someone else can benefit from it at the same time. Two blue buffs on one team is better than one amiright?

I play Anivia mid. strangely I don't need blue XD

wait what do you mean I should say something relevant

just smite the buff

ModWulf Helhammer1 votes

On the subject on taking the little minions, that's sometimes unavoidable. Most mages are AoE, so unless the little ones are focused out first individually, they often will just die as a side effect

Syndra makes much better use of blue buff, because she uses AP, and because unlike a jungler she has no access to any viable source of mana regen from items.

Unless you expected a fight soon, and you would risk running OOM in it, you should have let her take it, she would get much more edge from it.

Or, of course, if she was really bad, you could just take it for yourself, but your story doesn't say that.

Dauthau1 votes

She was doing fine, asked for our blue, and I leashed and let her have it. We went mid to team fight, I used A LOT of mana in the fight to protect my teams asses. Syndra leaves through their blue buff jg and starts the blue buff camp. I ping my low mana, ping back away from camp while its still at half health. She had plenty of time to stop. I was just leaving mid so wasn't close enough to smite. I will gladly give up buffs for decent players but if you take the enemy buff after I just gave you mine AND saved your ass in a team fight with all my mana expenditure, you have no manners. She was not hurting for mana.
