Grace Period for Riot to Fix League

Riot had a good thing going in season 4 and 5 with league. Season 6 hit (with all its "wonders") with dynamic queue, the DQ adjustment that autofilled you regardless of your pick, the huge mysterious matchmaking change that happened, and a plethora of new champs without fixing every kit for the old champs first.

I don't know about you all but Season 6 hasn't really been fun at all for me, so I'm going to give Rito a nice little cushion of time during the preseason and a month or two of Season 7 and if they don't fix the issues at hand, I am gone. A lot of my friends have been feeling the same way; it just lacks the fun it used to have and turned into a toxic gathering place.

I guess there will be a lot more time spent on Fallout 4 :)

Hate to see you go, but, them's the breaks! DQ is fine, autofill shouldn't ever happen unless you have a ridiculously high elo or play at very very low pop hours. Sure, I hate getting my secondary, but it happens. League is an evolving game, it's not something that should ever remain static and the same. Even I hate change, and I accept that League isn't going to be the same thing tomorrow that it was two years ago. Hell, I miss heart of gold and force of nature, but I've moved on. :3

tl;dr: Change happens, change happened, and change isn't gonna stop happening. Have fun with fallout!

I conditionally love change, change is fine, change is good, change is fun. :P But it seems things have changed for the worse. I actually like DQ btw, it's the toxic attitude that everyone has against it that has turned me away from league. I enjoy that I, in theory, WILL get one of two roles; it keeps things consistent but keeps you on your toes.

As for two years ago in the game, I obviously don't want everything from back then to come back. I appreciate the atmosphere that league was and should be.

Change will happen no matter what, but change for change's sake can often be a negative. I would argue that a lot of the change that happened in season 6 was for the worst.

These include keystones increasing damage across the board while removing the one mastery that lets supports catch up to other roles in XP, DQ screwing over high elo players and reducing the competitive integrity of ranked for everyone, the marksman class rework kidnapping Trinity Force away from fighters/bruisers then Riot giving it back to them in a much more powerful form, a lot of the newer champions having mechanics that should have been used sparingly, the mage rework shifting Rylais from a niche item to the core item of almost every mage, and the non-ruby sightstone upgrades being lackluster because they were intended to give slot efficiency to a class of champions that often struggle to fill up all six slots in the first place.

Change is inevitable, change for the worse doesn't have to be.
