As much as I hate losing 3 LP for dodging everytime I get a Bard in ranked...

... I hate losing 20 LP for sticking it around thinking "maybe this Bard will be different" more. Does anyone else have a strict rule of "Bard = Dodge" in ranked? I tried giving him a chance but I've never won a game with a Bard in it in ranked so I just decided its not worth the risk of essentially playing a 4v5.

Nah. I dont really have a strict for any champ really. There's too many things that affect the overall direction of a game. I can't blame it on just one person/specific champion

At least Teemo brings lane pressure to the table, and if somehow gets ahead in his lane, it's a complete headache dealing with him. I haven't seen a game where Bard wasn't the lowest level the entire game because his chimes are so underwhelming.

I mean picking bard essentially means "i'm not that serious about winning" considering how little he brings to the table, at least in solo queue.

HAHAHAHAHA. Just because you haven't seen it used properly, doesn't mean he brings little to the table. Sure, some of his numbers a a little low, but his utility is amazing.

Well since he always dodges, of course he won't see bard played well :D And someone that dodges/gives up so easily, rarely brings enough to the game themselves to allow a "SUPPORT" champ to be significant. The best supports in the game will only go as far as their carries (including mid) let them

That said, Bard can unleash epic plays, but so far, he usually falls behind, but since he first came into play, I have never seen a "useless" bard, lower level is expected, since he is the support, it is either him or the other support (and since this is describing a losing game, your support will ALWAYS be the lowest level, with a few rare exceptions) No one would say Leona sucks because she has the lowest level on the team, or even in the game lol, win or lose Some of the worst teams imaginable will still win games, nothing = strict dodge unless someone specifically states and means they are gonna troll you

I'm Diamond elo. Maybe at lower levels bard puts in work but people get punished too hard when Bard roams at this level and its very rare his ult makes a difference, which is about all he brings to the table. He pales in comparison to Leona / Thresh / Naut / Annie / Sona TBH. You're just setting yourself up to lose bot lane by picking Bard and even though he can roam, so can the other supports and their ganks are MUCH better.

Also I didn't always dodge Bard games. I only started after losing a pretty big number of Bard games, and witnessing every enemy team that picks bard lose. 9/10 if Bard pops up on champ select, someone on the team dodges, enemy or ally.

To be fair, at diamond elo, I wouldn't even touch bard until he gets balanced right. His starting stats had too many obvious flaws, and too many chefs saying what would fix him. In lower elo's he is not useless, but in Diamond and above, people would need exceptional skill to make him just viable, not to mention win, because the punishment for using him wrong is just too high, and he hasn't been out long enough for people to "perfect" him yet.

I find proper use of his w, e, r make him such a destructive force, while q is useful it is too situational (I expect situation skills from assassins, not supports) it's like saying "I can only save my adc under these circumstances" i love baiting people through the jungle, while i land on premade W's, chimes and perform endless jungle stuns. But I guess at higher tier people are less likely to blindly chase bard into jungle like that :D

Yea, true indeed. I guess, Riot figured that, so they front loaded his ablilities with all thier power so they wouldn't depend on levels so much. I also find that after a catch a few enemy champs out with my ult/E, his level evens up with the ADC pretty fast.

I have that seem feeling with teemo. As soon as I see him on my team, it's an insta dodge for me lol. Such a useless champion.

My reaction when someone picks Bard:

Then you get that one Bard on your team that gets a 5 man ult on the enemy team allowing your allied amumu to ult them the moment they come out and have a katarina follow up with the rest of your team for an easy ace.

The only people I ever screw over with my ult is zed's (I just have terrible timing with those guys..) and when the enemy has a morgana because "hurr blackshield balanced"
