Was browsin champion.gg and I came across this

Xin support???

What caught me off guard the most is this has a 57% winrate, more than anything else on the site.

But these stats for xin support still say he takes flash and smite, and builds like a normal jg xin.

Did champion.gg bug out somehow?

Is this just counting alot of autofilled supports who traded to get Xin jg? Or is this seriously a thing?

If its a real thing someone fill me in, as I'm clearly out of the loop.

Xin+Pantheon Bot lane is the ultimate kill lane. Just gotta make sure u got someone who is ranged to take towers from another positions. Corki or tf mid would be good.

High plat support main, and yea - it can work - but it has some big drawbacks. It's also not just Xin.. Aatrox JarvanIV Jayce Khazix LeeSin Shaco Shen Sion MonkeyKing Volibear XinZhao Yasuo Zed Pantheon

That's about every champion i've ever seen attempt a bot kill lane. The idea is that you combine CC with all-in burst potential. You'd want an ADC that can root and deal lots of damage. Draven and Jhin are pretty ideal.

You basically play together and blow the crap out of anyone who tries to trade with you. If you score a single kill, it can very quickly spiral out of control leading to an early pubstomp in bot lane.

With Runes Reforged, and Shield-happy supports, this strategy has pretty much completely fallen off, but you can still do it. It has lots of counters though - in addition to the shield meta, you also have lots of hard poke supports who can shut down all-in damage dealers pretty easily.

If you can't score a kill though, or you wind up losing lane, it turns out doubly as bad, as you essentially sacrifice a LOT of late game potential and mid game scaling. The support just isn't pulling in as much gold as a top lane, and that works out poorly for these champions come mid game.

I was doing it back way back in 2016-2017.

Xin Zhao support is basically a higher damage, less tanky Leona-support. You jump in, keep both the enemy laners occupied while your ADC wails on them. When they're trying to run, you E to slow them, third hit Q to knock them up, and after level 6, you flash+Ult them back into the middle of the lane.
