I'm confused about Riven

I don't really understand the new passive is it a nerf or just a change in her kit? How will it affect her game play? If any one has a very short brief summary on it please post it thank you.

No actually replacing her execute damage and replacing it with based on how much "Edge" she has will kill her Burst combos whom she must peform in silly little amount of time in which she can't generate full "Edge".

Also if you use E>W>Q (or any combo in which you use a skill without Auto-Attacking afterwards) as a surprise move, you're gonna lose alooooot of runic blade stacks, and after your 3rd Q you will be left with no damage.

10% Damage increase is hardly an acceptable compensation so the changes are a straight nerf imho.

And did I mention she gains 20 edge per auto? The auto you use BEFORE your Q doesn't count so that means alot of autos required to get the max damage from your Wind Slash.

It won't affect skilled Riven players too much. However, the players who smash all the buttons in no order and still win trades are going to feel the burn

Removes the execute, which takes out a huge amount of her power. So a nerf, but not one considering Riven players

It doesn't remove the execute, it just makes it scale with the resource instead.

Overall, this is a buff.

An execute, by definition, scales off of the target's missing health, which making her Windslash scale with Edge completely removes. By definition, it removes the execute, and is a nerf.

But the ability still does the same damage, they just changed the way it scales. I'd argue that the windslash change alone is a buff since it's less likely to just overkill your opponent. And at any rate, the 10% damage increase on her passive is obviously a buff.

Buff to good Riven players who are patient and decisive. This means you literally have to know Riven 100% in order to make her work in-game. Right now everyone can master her whenever they have a brief knowledge about animation cancelling.
