Support Jungle Discussion
With the recent Nunu Debacle, I was thinking "what are some other support junglers that could make this a meta strategy?" So I found an obvious one and came up with another for an example. Note these all take smite
Ivern Support: This is an obvious one, but different strats can be used. For Blue Team: Start by prepping krugs then go straight to enemy red. Take the red with smite, gank top, krugs, then bot until your smite is back up to take one or both of their bot side camps. Tl;dr of ivern blue Krugs (do not go near red bush in case add of top lane ward)> red > smite > top/mid > krugs > bot > bot jg w/ 1 or 2 smites For Red team: Same basic idea except this route Gromp (q in over wall to avoid top laner ward) > blue > Smite > mid/top > gromp > bot > bot jg w/ 1 or 2 smites Overall: avoid top ward so that they only know you are taking buff.
Blitzcrank Support: You will need to coordinate w/ your jg For blue team: Do a standard blitz invade to start, good if you get a kill for someone. During this invade make sure their blue bush, Gromp, and Wolves are warded. Once this invade is done, wait in river bush with jungles. When blue buff is at 900 life pull is and immediately smites. You and should junglers' aa's should lower it enough where the jungler's smite can kill it. His job is done and he now has a 3 buff start. Follow the Emmy jungle to either wolves or gromp and make sure you are not seen. They should still be lvl 1. Once they start a camp, pull either the camp at around half life or the jungled if you can kill him with thunderlords. Either take the camp or reset it. If the support stayed to leash a second camp, then he prolly did gromp second. Wait until he does wolves then, pull the main wolf and kill it or at least reset it. If the mid laner comes, then leave and don't risk a fight. Once complete return to bot lane, control scuttle, and invade his Jungle once in a while to smite steal.
This strat is not as effective for red side. The first half is the same for smite stealing, but only ward krugs. If he skips krugs, then immediately head bot and play the role of scuttle and drag control.
tl;dr New interesting strats for support that could work but have not been tested
Come up with some more in comments, make sure to say what to do as each side. Note: spelling errors cause phone
