Why doesn't Bloodrazor apply lifesteal?

xxxDogmanxxx··2 votes·1,144 views

According to the wiki, Lifesteal is supposed to apply to all on-hit physical damage, including items. I know that the damage from Sheen can proc lifesteal. The on-hit damage from BoRK and Recurve Bow both proc lifesteal too. So why doesn't the damage from Bloodrazor proc lifesteal?

i tihnk the reason it doesnt is because it would make jungle sustain with it way to strong.

sheen = enhanced autoattack and thus applies lifesteal Bork is also onhit but the ability doesn't count as an enhanced autoattack.

But more to the point, the exception here isn't bloodrazor, bloodrazor is the normal one and is the poster child of all things lifesteal. It does exactly what its supposed to.

Blade of the ruined king is an unbalancable design that has just received special and unique case-by-case nerfs. There are a bunch of ways I could explain to you that it is justified that Bork does not proc lifesteal on the % damage but at the end of the day Bork is the odd man out.

You will find that the remainder of your conversations will make more sense under this logic

bloodrazor works perfectly Bork is the weird one

Recurve Bow's on-hit damage procs lifesteal. Recurve Bow does not enhance/modify the auto-attack. BoRK's on-hit %current HP passive damage procs lifesteal too.

BoRK is not the exception. Bloodrazor is.

I don't believe that Bork's on-hit procs lifesteal. The wiki notes could easily be outdated btw

The wiki is usually updated as soon as the patch goes live.

Its also updated several many times after that. I doubt its just to make it prettier

Indeed. Spellchecks, changing as new info is acquired, changing old info. A wiki is not one man; a wiki is a community all working to keep it up to date with as much information as possible.

Because RIOT lacks the clarity a wiki provides, the wiki is the proper source of information on mechanics and interactions. Like this threads question. You can be as negative as you want and try to argue that the "wiki lies" - but it doesnt change the fact that the wiki is the ONLY source of easily accessible information that is both fact checked by the community AND updated regularly.

The on-hit of BoRK does proc lifesteal. If it didn't, then the amount healed per auto-attack would not steadily decrease the way it does.

We have four masteries that could cause that as well and bork shouldn't be changing lifesteal levels? Its the same damage each shot.

It's not changing lifesteal levels. The on-hit damage each auto-attack does is decreasing as the target's current HP decreases. So does the amount healed. Therefore, lifesteal is applying to the on-hit damage.

... Do you not know botrks effect? Its %current health. Also the onhit effect description literally states "lifesteal applies to this effect".

I know borks effect, I also know that riot had been specifically targeting its onhit ability and wanted to remove its heal. Course the version I read was based on datamining most likely.
