What happened to Twitch?

After seeing such a spectacular performance at worlds, he was beginning to look promising. Now that Kalista is out, what's the point of playing him? Her rend even does more damage than expunge AND it slows.

Could we get some love on Twitch ? Maybe increase the amount of stacks his W adds or increase expunge's damage?

well he was overnerfed no idea what this braindead balance team thought i agreed with the q nerf but the passive and base ad nerfs were completely unnecessary his passive is just useless and deals no damage anymore even if he lands 6 stacks on an enemy it only deals SOME damage not much the only reasons why he can be good are his range and his ability to position himself in tf's (q) plus the attackspeed buff is very strong later on but yeah i still think he is too weak

Seeing Kalista's Rend felt like a huge huge middle finger to Twitch, honestly. I went with the logical assumption it had to deal less damage, since it also slows AND resets on kill (and now refunds half to full of it's mana cost, too). Well, yes, as for six attacks, Rend's base damage is lower, though I'm not sure how the 25% bonus ad per stack on Contaminate and 60% total ad on first spear with 20-30% total ad on each additional spear influence this (I don't know what ad numbers would be likely in those moments). But hey, in lane we can use this ability much more often for little to no mana, and it's gonna fly over Contaminate's damage in not too long.

Yes, different champions and everything, but was it really all that neccessary to copy this till now rather unique skill? For a champion of the same class? (That's already pissing off everyone for a totally different reason?)

hes been pretty weak for awhile, it's just that the guy who played him at worlds was exceptionally talented and had a team that was built around him.

I was beginning to feel alone in my opinion on Twitch. I love the little rat! He was one of the first champions I bought and I immediately ponied up the cash for his gangster skin cuz I wanted dat gun! But he's been made utterly obsolete by other ADC's and Riot thinks it's cool to pump out OP ADC's in pairs one season after another without bothering to balance out what they've already made. And it seems like whenever someone complains a champion is underpowered, Riot decides to hit said champion with one nerf or a whole nerf package. And if people complain a champion is overpowered, Riot just ignores EVERYONE!

12 true damage per second at max stacks is NOTHING! It may be a substantial amount early game, but there isn't enough attack speed to secure that number of stacks early game without risking a dive or crippling minion aggro. It does not compensate for his minimal AD when compared to the DPS other ADC's produce.

they gutted his poison damage and then made his stealth take a whole 6 seconds if taking damage. Basically, they killed his damage and gutted his only escape.

I think his W should cost no mana to begin with. It's a lot of mana for not so much in return. As said in this thread, his passive could use some help.

I played him once this season i will never do it again. He is just so weak compared to other adc's. The fact that i was going against Kalista made it no better.

Kalista replaced him, pretty much.

Ok guys twitch needs proper positioning and setup to win lanes, he needs a sup that can bait and tank so he can get behind an enemy and build stacks on them and expunge. He shreds tanks lategame and his damage is phenomenal but he's like Vayne, he needs to get ahead to faceroll or farm to lategame and have decent peel to assassinate.

Duh, welcome to League of Legends. If a champ does well in the Pro Scene, they'll get nerfed to death.

That's why I'm hoping Annie does very well this year.

he is too weak right now

Thanks to everyone for making this a meaningful thread with lots of good input. I think Twitch was nerfed when Sword of the Divine was popular on him. Now that it was removed, does anyone else think they should readjust him again?

Completely different champions. "Why play this champ when I can play this champ?" Is always a stupid question.

I have put some serious effort into playing twitch. Don't underestimate him just because you can't make him work. If played well he is crazy strong, you can single handedly carry teamfights late game like no other adc can.

I submit to you that Twitch should not be defined by his Expunge. It is interesting, definitely, and important lore-wise, but Twitch's gameplay revolves around his stealth/assassination potential and his ultimate. IF he needs buffs (I am not sure after the worlds performance) they should be focussed around his nieche - assassin adc.
