isnt it better for the long haul? and doesnt it synchrinze well with lucians passive? so how come ever since the BT nerfs, no one rushes TF anymore?

and dont give me that crap that oh people still rush it. im talking generally, and generally people dont rush it nowadays.

Because IE changes and his passive critting makes it much better. Plus ever since the E change most Lucians opt for CDR (IE they build Ghost blade) which also better synergizes with IE. So basically the changes to ADC itemization as well to Lucian himself made this new build path much more attractive.

im only saying this because in ARAM i rush trinity force on lucian and it still feels great on him.

Triforce is a mid-game item that doesn't really scale well with other DPS items by virtue of scaling off of base AD. For someone like Lucian, who scales incredibly well with every main DPS stat (AD, AS, crit), it's usually better to forgo that midgame power spike for the sake of significantly greater late game power.

Not to say triforce isn't still good on him, because it can be used to great effect undoubtedly, just that it's usualy not the best choice, because of how it can hinder his late game marksman power. It's worth serious consideration if you tend towards a more assassin-style role as an ADC.

IE and Youmuu's are now the ideal rush items for Lucian. With BT being relegated to a later pickup, the build path for Trinity force isn't really there.

IE synergizes better with Shiv and PD, and with Youmuu's, you're going to be lacking damage if you go for Trinity next. You wouldn't want to rush Trinity itself because Lucian wants to get some usage out of his AD ratios.

That said, Trinity can work, it's just not the most ideal choice.

Also, what works in ARAM is radically different than what works in SR. In ARAM, Hurricane is a good pickup on Cait. In SR, Hurricane isn't a good pickup on anybody, for example.

The current meta Lucian build is normally more focused on burst damage, through raw AD, or high crit. So you see alot of IE - Ghostblade, or IE - Shiv builds. Tri force is still a good item on Lucian, you're just trading raw damage for mobility & seige potential.
