Hey Rito, wanna know what differs League and more traditional sports?

Some time ago (in one of Rito Pls posts) Rito told us that they want to change League into something more, into game that last years if not decades, into sport that will be seen as equal to traditional sports like basketball or soccer/football.

But there is one tinny, tinny problem here... No other sport changes it's damn rules every season!

My brother stopped playing League 2 years ago and when he is watching worlds this year he is all like "What are those color dragons?", "They added diffrent smites?", "Can't they put more wards?", "Who is this Rift Harold?" and so on....

Dont get me wrong balance chages, QoL changes, bug fixes, graphical improvements are fine but do we really need a new machanic every year to learn and then forget in next season?

It's like if NBA came up with an idea to bury some mines under the court or radomly remove baskets and add goals . "We wanted to add some RNG."

So Rito get your vision right, solid and clear and keep to it.

Sincerely, random plat V player.

Wait, but someone in another thread told me that baseball changes rules every season.

Even if then those changes are more like balance in League.

You can watch basketball match from 5 years ago and todays without much confusion. But if you do the same with league... well its like different game.

That's probably why I find baseball boring.

I hate having RNG in a game so competitive. Literally dragons and now plants. I know they want the game to be exciting and different each match, but this doesn't do it. It just makes the game less standardized. What would really make the game diverse and fun each match would be having it where all champions are viable and people try hard in ranked. Like maybe add in limited chats or charges in ranked so people don't spend so much time bitching or talking about random shit.

RNG is for loot drops in games, dungeon creation, and, well, that's it. Introducing that shit into LoL is going to ruin the game so badly, I don't know what these clowns at riot are thinking.

The changes aren't sooo big as in LoL, but a lot of sports have minor rule changes all the time. And for some it's even not that minor, look at Formule1.

Rules in sports get changed every season. Trust me. I was an official for volleyball. Did college, club, highschool, and adults. Rules change every year and confuse the shit out of you if you don't read all 5 rule books they throw at you.

And some of them are even stupid swaps with different leagues. Example: Issuing a yellow card is a warning for club, while in highschool it's a point to the other team. Then the next year they switched it and caused refs to mess up in the early season.

Rules have to change to accommodate the ever evolving nature of sports and humans. Sometimes rules are even created for situations that no one would think is possible, but eventually happen so they have to address it.

I mean, how else do you deal with a bulldog that wanders onto the court and takes a shit? Was the first time it happened in my region for reffing. Even the coaches were confused on what to do. Now our bio-hazard ruling includes animal bio-hazards because of that :P

It's ok if the rules change if the change is for the better, but introducing more PRNG is the worst idea possible if you want to have your game taken seriously as a competitive sport.

Another difference is that one is a video game and another is real life
