I WILL NEVER BAN SOMEBODIES HOVERED CHAMP EVER AGAIN

In the past, (only in ranked) I've banned hovered champions whom I thought were troll picks. In most of those games, the player I banned out trolled afterwards, usually costing the game. At the time, I thought I was doing what was better for the team. However, after my last game, I refuse to ban out any hovered champion, even if I don't agree with it.

It was a normal game, I was going to play ad Ezreal mid, I have quite a few games where I've carried with mid ez but I don't think everyone is aware of his solo kill potential. A player says, "why do we have 2 adcs" and I responded with a simple "because I want to play ezreal mid". Keep in mind, I've been trying to get a good ezreal mid game in for almost 3 days now, and I feel cursed because EVERY single game that I take him mid something happens. An afk, a remake, a dodge, a troll, I haven't gotten to play a fun game with him in 3 days! I was looking so forward to playing one of my favorite champs in the mid lane, and sure enough, he banned out ez and says "guess you're not playing ez mid". I IMMEDIATELY wanted to troll that game. I IMMEDIATELY wanted to insta-lock urgot and flame this guy. On another day, I might just have.

But today, I said no. I told him that even though I found it incredibly mean for him to try and ruin someone's game because they don't want a certain team comp, I hope he has a fun game and good luck. I locked in Veigar, VERY reluctantly, and told myself that I should win this game just to spite this guy. Sure enough, I kinda-sorta win lane, our bot wins lane, and we take the victory. I make sure to remind him that despite his efforts to ruin my game, I had fun and I thank him for good job on support.

Moral of the story, don't let trolls ruin your experience. Don't let yourself stoop to a bully's level. You should always strive to be the bigger person, and always do your best EVEN if you're not having the most fun while doing so. And most importantly of all, please, don't ruin someone's fun because you disagree with the method (unless that method is ACTUALLY trolling you, in that case, you should x9 report them). Don't ban out somebody's off meta champ just because you don't think it works. ESPECIALLY in normal games, where the sole purpose is to have fun! Thank you all for reading, I hope you all have an amazing day. [slayer-pantheon-thumbs]

you should x9 report them

9 reports do not carry more weight than 1. You don't have to ask anyone for reports, if you report the game will be added in potential reviews.

A teammate thought it was funny to ban Caitlyn because of my name. So I thought it was funny to play crittlesticks. We lost.

I once had a game where someone on my team banned my Leona top. Then someone dodged and we got placed on opposite teams. I made his bitchass go 0/12. He didn't ban it again when he was on my team in the next game; Funny how that works.

A light has been lit. Also, a fine example of the Golden Rule in action.... thank you for sharing and realizing what was going on. It helps to keep try harding out of normals.

I'll ban a teammate's pick-intent if they are a strong, FotM champion and they are low in the pick order (meaning that the enemy team will likely take them first).

That's about it though.

Though, I will admit that I banned an ally's Yasuo mid pick-intent once when I didn't feel like dealing with it that game.

That player picked Leblanc mid while their duo partner chose Urgot support and both trolled that game.

Luckily, my friend (Jayce) and I still managed to hard-carry the game. Sadly, the Twitch got screwed bottom lane due to the Urgot, but we still made it work.

I am terrible about just banning one or two champions automatically for lack of any good banning knowledge ( I mean granted, being Bronze there's probably no well good banning knowledge I could use in the first place, but y'know ) and not noticing what my teammates hover over.

This has lead to some upset teammates more than once.

Generally I ban pretty selfishly or ban out high popularity high win rate champs.

I would ban a teammates option if it is a pick/ban champ you don't expect to last longer than 1-2 picks from the enemy team and the guy who wants it is last pick. I would also think about banning a champ with a terribly low win rate, like Ryze. I'd also think about banning out Nasus just because Nasus players never leave top lane to join in a team fight and I don't trust the people in my elo to properly play a 4v5 fight.

I recently banned Bard from a game when someone was hovering him. I asked him if he has any other support champions, but he would not pick one. He seemed like the kind of guy who was picking Bard to be a troll, and I didn't feel like playing ADC with 2 enemy supports bot lane.

He dodged.

Clearly not a support main, just someone who qued support to play Bard and troll.

i usually dont ban yasuo but i do it when i see that someone in my team wants to pick him why? because 9 out of 10 yasuos that are in my team give fb, continue to overextend and feed, then flame and blame their team with 'gg no help' and other trashtalk while pushing 24/7 and proceed to afk or just leave the game after basically ruining it by themselves

Yasuo Zed Teemo are my go to bans because not only are they cancer, but the people who play them are too.
