Wouldn't this mean you could duo mid with Morde and a support and destroy the enemy mid? Or a bard can support 2 lanes no problem? Or we can play an AP mage bot in the event that your team is all AD?

There is nothing wrong with ally interactions, but there is enough of his power now dependand on allies that he is gonna struggle in a solo lane.

Mordekaiser is playing down an entire ability when fighting 1v1. On top of that, random AD scalings were added all over his kit and, seeing as Riot's play testers are building him as an AD bruiser, you can bet he's going to be balanced around that instead of his AP build. It's not Morde being allowed into a duo lane that is pissing us off, it's him being forced into one and then half his identity changed on what seems to be a whim.

I have no problem with his new W passive pushing him in to a duo lane, the problem I have is that when you are queued with a bunch a randoms then who is going to be accepting of you duo laning a previously solo lane champion, especially since for the most part you will be duong bot with a support and most people are afraid of what's not meta.

KayVaugn1 votesJust because he can be played in a duo bot lane does not mean that's where he is strongest for his team or if it's even effective. One of Morde's major issues is that he's slow and very kitable so let's put him up against the premier kite champions (Marksman) and have him lane against them. Doesn't sound too appealing so no I don't think morde bot will be meta even if his kit wants him to duo lane. I think it would be a situational pick vs marksman who doesn't kite as well as others.

also for those who bitch about full ad teams....stfu pls it really dose not matter sure there team can stack Armour but i bet you there will be at two people on the other team who will build either no Armour or very little Armour so yeah there tanks will be hard to kill but if you kill there carries then its just a matter of focusing them down.

EndlessSorcerer1 votesThey are making his W only castable on ally champions (so you can't actually solo-lane anymore) and it won't deal damage unless you are near your ally.
They are nerfing the base damage on his E, making it only useful for charging shield.
They made his primary damage source (Q) reliant on laning three autoattacks against a target as an immobile melee champion and they further reduced his movement speed.
If these changes go through, Mordekaiser won't be able to play in a solo-lane and he'll be ham-fistedly shoved into being a gimmicky bot-laner.
In addition, the changes to his W (experience and damage-wise) are designed to force him into a duo-lane, whether you wanted to be or not. The closest they've come to forcing a duo-lane so far are Kalista (Soul-bound) and Leona (her passive) and even they are capable of laning solo if they desire.
