Chill with the mini-games

so many recent champs have annoying af mini-games

Illaoi Fiora Gangplank Poppy Kindred

GP and poppy's are fine. Kindred's is ok i guess.

But illaoi's and fiora's little mini-games are the most unfun and annoying things to play against in this game. Im a huge fizz hater and ive played top enough to say id take fizz any day over either of these 2.

oh yeah, fuck Quinn too. Top lane is absolute garbage to play right now because of these recent champs. Listen, champs like this make people not want to play your game. Champs that force you so drastically to adapt to their playstyle, champs that feel impossible to beat unless they mess up

never seen them

fiora is in every game if not banned. illaoi rather uncommon but the pinnacle of unfun to play against

but these minigames often create clear counterplay to these champions, which gives riot the ability to add some significant power to their kits.

the enemy champion has an objective. like draven with catching his axes for example. you have a clear objective of stopping that from happening. maybe through displacement.

fiora has a clear objective of trying to approach you from a side where she can trigger a vital. you have a clear objective of protecting your vital. for example by hiding the hitbox in a wall. whoever is better at achieving his goal and manages to outposition his opponent wins the fight.

garen gets a significant boost in damage against the villain, which allows him to build so tanky. his goal is getting into melee range of him and sticking. he usually needs the help of his team to accomplish that. while the goal of the enemy team is to stop that from happening by kiting him.

illaois tentacles are only allowed to be so powerful, because you can avoid getting slapped by them and walk away from them.

this concept is much more interesting and balanced than having champions strengths only be decided by raw numbers.

What is your definition of a minigame?

Mini games produce variety, and variety in League is more fun than being the same shit. No.
