How do you think Ekkos ult will work?
Wanted to start a speculation thread for how we think Ekko's ult (or primary time mechanic) will work.
I think we can all go all in on is ult being reversing time related considering that's the entire point of his video. (P.S. I know we can just wait for him to be released but its more fun to speculate wildly don't you think?)
My guess is his ult creates a time stamp of a area around Ekko then allows him to recast his ult to reset everything that was in that time stamp and is 'still alive' back to that time stamp.
Also i don't think that's as op as people are probably thinking.
I cant see Rito allowing Ekko to use his ult like Zileans and bring him back from the dead. This video more or less shows that its Ekko who recasts this ability and not something that automatically happens. Ekko dieing means no reset. Also safe to assume he wont be bringing anyone who died back from the dead.
Considering he is gana be an assassin from what we've been hearing my guess is you start the time stamp from your ult then try to kill your opponent and use your ults reset as a do over button in case everything goes bad. Jungler behind a bush? RESET!. Lane opponent is outplaying you hard? RESET! No kill but you lost the trade hard? RESET!
If he doesn't bring back people from the dead then almost suicideing to get the kill works so long as you can reset after your target dies and before you do. Makes tower diving low health high value targets a much more likely and valuable proposition.
WORTH NOTING i don't think its possible coding wise for the ult to automatically bring you back even 1 second into the past of first activation of your ult. Especially if it effects other players. Having the server keeping a constant memory of what happened for so many variables thought the entire game is just so hard to justify that i cant see it happening.
More likely as i said the first cast creates a moment in time for a certain area then a second cast resets everything(still alive) to that moment.
