Looking for some champs to pick up.

So recently I have run into an issue. I am silver 1, trying to hit gold 5, and have found my champ pool to be super limiting. Not that I have a small champ pool, however I play almost nothing but tanks. The only time I don't really play tanks is when I am mid. I have no skill in, or desire to pick up, the role of ADC. That is just too much pressure for me.

In the same way my jg play is sub par so I try to steer away from that. I tend to label myself as a support main but I have had trouble climbing with that so I have turned to mid/top with a decent amount of success.

The issue is that tanks just feel so bad to play right now that the top laners I do have I don't feel comfortable picking. For top that really leaves me with Vlad, who is usually banned, and Malphite, who only stays relevant thanks to his ult. I tend to be bad at champs like Riven and Yasuo and don't get enjoyment out of playing them.

Currently I have fallen back on J4 but he rarely fits into team comps and isn't the best blind pick.

I am looking for some recommendations for a more damage oriented top laner that I can safely blind pick. I would prefer if they weren't a full squishy and a bit more bruiser-ish.

For reference the more damage focused champs I do play are: Ahri, Vlad, Eve, J4, and Urgot if that helps. Anyways, thanks in advance for any help, I just need to expand my champ pool some more and don't know where to begin.

Ok, I will definitely keep that in mind, thanks.

And I do play Rumble, but I never felt super comfortable on him.

Morgana mid. Mordekaiser top.

Mord doesn't seem like one of those champs that fits teamcomps very well though. While I don't own him I have played him a bit and I never see a time when i would pick him over Vlad, unless Vlad was banned an we needed a tanky AP top and already had enough range. Plus going top means he almost never gets drags unless he wants to trade turrets by tping down there.

Valid points highlighting some of the things I hate about Morde. But I just try to get more people to try him. So they might stop treating him like a leper

Haha, dw I play pretty much every unpopular champ. The only ones I haven't gotten around to yet are Mord and Galio (for some reason there was always something else I wanted at the time)

Also, is it just me or are half the people on the boards Morde players? Kinda weird.

Hmm... So the champions off the top of my head I think of are Jax and Fiora. Jax is an all-around great late-game hypercarry. Now, you're going to feed against most champions early-game BUT your damage just becomes insane late-game and you can solo the entire enemy base in very little time. His Q and E allow him to stick to targets, and his ult passive does 300+ damage every third attack. If you manage to get kills early-game, you can basically 1v1 anyone. Also, his ult lets you build items such as item 3022. Items:item 3078 item 3146 item 3124 item 3022 item 3074 item 3009

Fiora The duelist. Fiora's one of my favorite champs because she has a very high skill cap and so much outplay potential. FPositioning is EVERYTHING with her. While she's also a late-game carry, she NEEDS kills or very high CS in order to advance into late-game. Fiora has two main outcomes: You feed and become useless (since Fiora can't do much more than 1v2), or you become a goddess whom all champions back away from, since your ult alone can deal upwards of 70% max HP true damage. POSITIONING is everything. You have to know where vitals are and zone the enemy out. A bit squishier than most top-laners but her sustain makes up for it. Items: item 3074 item 3071 item 3812 item 3078 item 3026 item 3111

Mmk, thanks. I was definitely considering Jax, I just wasn't sure how good of a blind pick he was.

Apperently Mid laners like Irelia as thier top laner occuring to riots stats.

Poppy is still seeing worlds play despite being a tank.

I am the same as you, support/tank/fill main trying to get to G5 (probably don't have enough time) I am a little worried about my jungle atm since I don't play the meta picks but at the same time just clicking fill is so easy and I don't have to think too much about what I want to play.
