Why is Galio such a bad Champ?

His kit seems Okay. His Passive gives him AP, his Q does damage, his W could use a rework tbh but would be good in like a team fight or something. his E he can use to escape and his ult doesnt seem so bad?

Who said Galio is bad? Lol He is actually kinda strong, not a top tier champ, but a very good niche/counter pick

The problem is that everything about him is clunky, from his AA animation (that is honestly his most urgent problem) to some non immediately understendable interaction between his skills, to his not completely clear role for the users that try him for the first times and have never approached seriously his gameplay

And he is one of the least flashier champ in the game, he can be considered kinda of boring by the ones that detest play as a tank and in addition to that he is limited in his action because mana problems that he is intended to have to just poke with limited damage and sit back (until you got to mid/late game when he scale in a mosnter)

If you add his ugly and completely outdated visual - Riot themselves has him very high in a visual update list, but they don't work on him because he is fine gameplay wise while other champs need much more work overall - you get the complete picture.

TL; DR Galio is a good/strong champ which seems terrible to the ones that doesn't play/look at him at all because everything beyond his current kit and gameplay core (and even that need some reinement here and there) seems totally awful

Because he's a tank that can't help much aside from his ult and W. I guess you can count the E MS buff.

Tank Oriana is more effective than tank Galio at providing utility and pressure for her team.

As a mage, Galio is naturally too strong when he's viable because he essentially counters mid-lane and also is tanky as shit while throwing out nukes.

Also, any time Galio is strong, Udyr and Renekton become common since they can almost immediately cancel Galio's ult by making sure he's caught with their stuns buffered. This hasn't happened in the last 4 seasons, though.

He's not really bad, though. He's just too niche to be more useful than other champs in a large portion of scenarios, **especially considering his rather absurd mana costs and being melee in regards to laning. **

Mana problems, looks ugly and you have to use flash to ult. Also his laning is bad, because he is melee.

? can't tell if this post is troll or not. Galio can be extremely good depending on the enemy's team composition. MR and AP synergy with his passive makes him dish out quite a lot of damage for a tank. Never the less, I heard riot is planning on performing a rework on him anyways.
