If we doubled W's range

It doesn't do as much damage as Nidalee's spear and it wouldn't go much farther

... not any more than he is now?

The problem isn't its range. It's the fall time/radius combo. Doubling the range doesn't help it hit anyone any more than it currently does.

You have no idea how many kills I've missed from having to get closer to a stunned enemy to land W

After having traveled 525 units, the javelin's damage will be increased by 2% per 7.75 units traveled, capping at 200% bonus damage (300% total damage) after traveling 1300 units. MAXIMUM MAGIC DAMAGE: 150 / 225 / 300 / 375 / 450 (+120% AP)

That's a really ideal scenario for Nidalee, but yes, it can reach upwards of 100% AP. It will do less than Veigar's W lategame, though, thanks to his ap growth

The difference is that there is a massive warning sign for where the meteor lands.

...Have you ever actually bothered to check?

It probably wouldn't have much of an effect, since enemies can still easily dodge D: A small range increase would work, to be able to hit stunned enemies, but doubling might be overdoing it
