My question is why does the rank system have to be gated by promotion series that are so monotonous when I get matched against players 5-10 rank brackets higher than me? also in the image I highlighted there was a difference of over 100 elo between the two teams collectively, how can that be fair matchmaking? I am not trying to bitch, especially because I won the game anyway, but come on man
Is it so hard to understand that if youre climbing your MMR is probably a bit higher than your rank? If youre sitting on a 65% winrate youre going to be in a much higher mmr than your rank. If you lose the promos, your mmr will drop and next promos will be against lower skilled opponents but youll probably gain less LP per win. If youre playing against low plat players then thats likely where youll end up at the end of the season after grinding out games unless you improve. Thats actually a good thing because youre probably losing less than 10 LP for a loss.
