Are Longer Death Timer Really What League Needs?
According to PBE updates s@20:
> Death timer changes back. > [Increase time starts at 10 minutes from 35 minutes] > [% decreased to 0.5% from 2%] > Reinboom noted: "These are still in iteration (so not final). We're investigating making the mid game more threatening with minimal changes to late."
With the proposed changes to the death timers we're gonna see roughly about 50 second respawn timers on a level 14 champion 25 minutes into the game. I casually tested it myself on the PBE yesterday. I was also there a few weeks ago before these changes were pulled from the current live patch. Me and my friends were perplexed why we needed such loooong respawn timers. What are we doing to the game? At the time I just thought " just an experiment that'll probably be pulled." For a bit I thought I was right.
I think perhaps these changes are a bit too far, in conjunction of other changes, such as the squishier towers we already have, and soon to be auto pushing minions (which I am also against...)
What is the objective here? To shorten game length? Maybe to make picks more valuable? I'm just afraid of so many changes of similar purposes being pushed in one direction they'll compound on each other. With squishier towers and longer death timers does a 20 min ace mean the enemy team strolls through 3 towers and takes your inhib?
