Mordekaiser - The Iron Irrelevant
While I admit to being one of those jerks who hates champion reworks (namely out of a feeling of lost nostalgia for years past), I do have to say that I think the only true solution for Mordekaiser at this point is a rework. He never, truly, worked to begin with, and relied heavily on items and mechanics that simply do not exist any longer. (I.E. Early Game Spell Vamp and such) He has been left as a tank who simply lacks crowd control, while he also lacks the intense sustain of champions such as Mundo.
- His 'Q' is now a novelty which to truly focus on it he has to dip from his tankiness, or go AD (despite that T-Force has also been changed over the years.)
- His 'W' was reworked some time ago to attempt to make up for the lack of Spellvamp early game, but does not honestly suit the champion - nor does it do near enough for his sustain or durability.
- His 'E' always worked fine, until recently most champions simply out range this with their poke, including champions such as Lee Sin, Darius, and even Xin Zhao... Swain now has Morde's E, but he does it better.
- His 'Ultimate' is his only true focal point, having to design him utterly around the idea that he MIGHT manage to capture the enemy ADC and use it to murder their team.
Mordekaiser has simply been left behind by the past 80 or so champions, insofar as mechanics, and he never truly had the adaptability to keep up. He is a one trick pony at this stage, entirely reliant on attempting to snatch, and stay on top of, increasingly mobile ADC characters. When Morde was designed... ADC champions either had high mobility OR high damage output, and now they have both. This renders old monsters like Mordekaiser irrelevant.
