Which offensive supports would you recommend?

So I was autofillled support today (immediately putting me in a rather foul mood because I wanted to play Nocturne) but I went with it and reluctantly choose Lux because I've been seeing her a lot in my recent games (mostly mid but w/e). Much to my surprise I actually liked it because I can both be supportive and still have kill pressure with the right build. Then I thought to myself "well, years of maining jungle have made me completely shit at CS-ing anyway, maybe I can turn support in my secondary role and actually be useful outside of the jungle!". So my question is what other champions are there that can fulfill a similar hybrid damage-dealing and support role? Note that with "support" I mean actual shields, heals and that kind of stuff, not just offensive cc that champions like Vel'Koz or Brand offer. Thanks for any suggestions!

Morgana Most underrated supp in the game...can do it all...damage...peel...team fight...heal...shield...plenty of lock down...and come late game getting hit with a Morg q is death.

You should try nami, she's really fun, and decently skill oriented. She does pretty decent dmg if you build for it too. Also, I'm glad you liked Lux as support :D

Bard is my favorite pick.

Brand Morgana Zyra for damage

Thresh Blitzcrank Alistar Rakan for engage

Janna Nami Soraka Karma Lulu can be played offensively if it's the playstyle you want.

I think lux, morg, and lulu are going to be your best bet. Morg has the same shield/CC/zone pressure that lux has. Lulu on the other hand can be played both offensive or deffensive, abuses sensor better than the other two, and if you take thunderlords over windspeakers (one for offensive play, the other for deffensive) you have a crazy lvl2 power spike that can let you 1v2 the enemy bot lane with some practice.

All these suggestions seem good but Lux support is the only option listed in this thread that is a classy pick, especially if you mejai her.

Nami or Soraka are most likely what you are looking for, they do skill shot poke damage like Lux but got healing that the community prefers over Lux's baton but why do that and have no style when you could be Lux. The only downside Lux support has is that people flame/intentional throw alot because you are Lux support and not Rakkan or Thresh or something.

I've been having a lot of fun with Kayle support. In my experience, Kayle has the most versatile and efficient builds in the game by far. Masteries are either 0/18/12 or 0/12/18 depending on if you want item 3116 + item 3504 Max R>W>Q>E

I had to put a bunch of items together to fit it on one image but that's what my item set look like kinda.

Leona and Blitz might be good

Sona requires time to scale, has a terrible laning phase but super strong item synergy with item 3504 + item 3174 and being one of the few extant supports that can actually at all justify buying a item 3070. Karma nerfed into the gutter but if they ever throw her a lifesaver she's a quintessential aggressive enchanter. Nami capable lane-bully, good scaling into mid-game with her ability to severely disrupt fights. Morgana way less common than she used to be, mostly a niche and anti-stunlock pick. Can be pretty flexible in how she builds, either aggressively or protectively, but by the same token doesn't exactly thrive with the current support item roster either. Lulu nowhere near as aggression-capable as she used to be, mostly good as an answer to a dive-reliant comp. Strong item synergy though, her W + E with item 3504 is hilarious. Orianna hey look my shield and Windspeaker's Blessing makes anybody I want excessively more durable, neat Janna 100% not designed to play aggressively, the changes to her Zephyr were just a nerf with a half-assed "BUT YOU CAN DO THIS!" tag slapped onto it, do not be fooled. Amazing at denying aggression and engage, but not amazing at interacting with her opponents outside of doing that. Soraka capable of being more aggressive than Janna, but not by much. Countered almost wholesale in team fights by 800g item 3123 and 900g item 3076 items, but if your opponents are too dumb to get either of those and your teammates aren't playing with their feet, you'll actually have decent influence over fights.
