I'm leveling up in a bot match as I type this. It is 9 bots and myself playing this match. The other 4 players on my team are being controlled by scripts. And losing to the in game AI. This reminds me of Diablo II, when it became pure bots.

DrCyanide1 votesTheoretically, yes, the bot accounts will get banned.
The problem is that by the time that account is banned, it has likely already been bought by someone else, which just means the scripter can sell them another account. Even if the scripter was using the account for themselves, chances are they wouldn't care and would just start another bot account.
