If you want to play on a team with buddies, there is Ranked Team and you can create a team.
Guys, what we see with Riot is a company comprised of people who have risen to their own level of incompetence. This is their first and only game, and they probably have some people making decisions who have very little experience in leadership.
Goosetard2 votesThat wouldn't be Dynamic Queue. Dynamic Queue refers to the system which allows arbitrarily large parties queue together in a ranked queue. What you're referring to is New Champion Select.
They were released at the same time for a stupid fucking an unknown reason. Now there are lots of people (like you) who don't know the difference and a lot of people like me who are pretty sure that such confusion attributes to Riot's impression that Dynamic Queue has been "well received" by the community.
The kicker is that even if everyone likes it, that doesn't make it right. Riot could give everyone everyone who wins a ranked match +50 bonus LP, poll the community on it, and receive overwhelming support for it. But that doesn't mean it was fair or the right thing to do.

Because that system was much too restrictive. Almost no one used Ranked Teams and the entire queue suffered because it's simply too hard to get a specific group of exactly 5 people and consistently sync up all their schedules multiple days of the week.

I've only been able to play with 5 people that I trust and know at the same time only twice in 1.5 years. It is really hard to get a solid premade of 5.

Still confused why they didn't just make it a 2/3/5s playlist instead and added Solo as well. Wouldn't groups of 2 and 3 sped up the queue enough for 5s? They already said they're gonna pander to groups of 5 again with timed events or something...which REALLY makes me salty cuz there's way less groups of 5 than solo players lol.
