I honestly believe Riot needs to stop creating champions and balance current ones.

With a wide array of champions to already choose from, it seems silly to keep creating ones when there's problems with the ones that are already on the showcase. I know a lot of people here on the forums have always been questioning when is Riot going to fix certain champs, update, etc. So why don't they ever listen? This is just an opinion and inb4 people say I'm complaining/whining about the current ones. This is just a simple idea and just wondering why they don't focus more on the current champs/play styles and just keep creating new ones to just go back and fix anyway. There's so many people who keeps questioning Riot about a hundred different things they want done and they just get ignored. IDK just my opinion. I feel they should focus more on balancing than releasing new BS to just fix in future patches.

I kinda agree.

Riot shouldn't stop creating champions, but should look at designing champions differently now and balance the champions out.

Example:

We have a current meta with a dominate top and there should be a champion made or adjusted to counter said champion. No point in releasing a champion that doesn't belong in the meta and re-adjust champions that could have been over nerfed from previous meta's

If i was riot i would force the meta with new champions and adjustments. Not nerf champions that people consider dominate.

I think its also easier for them to make a new champ then try and rework/fix old ones. Many of the old champs had been nerfed to hell just to make them balanced back in seasons 2 and 3. Some like Morde are tricky because the slightest change could make them OP. So instead of taking time riot takes the easy route of creating new shiny champs to keep majority of player base distracted when half these champs are really OP (Gnar) or buggy as hell (Azir).

Also asking for Riot to rework old champions is dangerous I mean look at what happened to Cassiopeia. I still item 3070 up over that.

If they stop making champions, people complain about that, too.

Making new champions and balancing current ones is not a mutually exclusive thing.

Riot doesn't want all champions balanced they just want champions to have strengths and weaknesses, so they're perfectly fine with a couple of champions outshining every other pick as long as you can identify a weakness in them.

Riot IS working on those champs. It's a long process though! Many champs are years in the making and reworking them can take just as long. Do you know how long the Sion rework took? He was broken in season one and they only recently finished and implemented his rework. Riot is working on numerous projects, not just new champs, but reworking champs, new skins, the new SR, more game features, the list goes on.

I think that the silly system of "counters" the community has hinted is ridiculous. This idea that "Op champs just cant be played against because there is no good counters" is retarded. I could care less how powerful a champion is, however if riot decides they need to make said champion unfathomably easy to play, there's a problem. Think about it like the character nightmare in soul caliber: his attacks are really damn slow and are quite hard to hit well, but damn when you do, peoples health bars drop like the dow jones! I propose they start making the amount of damage an ability does, duration of cc, self buffs, etc. be increased and decreased depending on how easy that champion is to play. Also, when making new champions, they should really try and think up more ideas for abilities rather then making a champions ability almost the exact same as another one's, just a whole hell of a lot better (Like Sion and Olaf ultimate.). I think these two things will eliminate both your guys 'Op champion issue' and the fact that new champs often make old ones obsolete.
