Could we be in a state of too much balance?

I was pondering about the lack of diversity in Champs played and instead of thinking that we have a few op Champs what if we have a bunch of balanced Champs.

People want to be able to reck with their champ choice, and if most Champs are balanced and if the matching system if pitting you against people of similar skill level then it will make most champ choices feel blah.

People who use to snowball when they won now find themselves in this constant state of balance throughout the entire game except of course when matched against a high skill opponent where they get recked.

Furthermore, riot balanced champ select. The old system was chaos. You would either get lucky and be able to pick a role you want or would be forced to play something you have no idea how to play. This created more mismatches and thus a skilled player could abuse players who lacked diversity.

Now with the new champ select which forces a little stability coupled with increased champ balance a lone player finds it much more difficult to snowball creating a more blah game experience.

The game is no longer about your skill at playing a champ but about your overall ability to play your champ, communicate and adapt in champ select, and communicate with your team. You can do this as a solo player but we all need to adapt
