Try Focusing on YOUR Mistakes and stop blaming support
Last year I made it to bronze 1, but really did not spend that much time in ranked queue. This year I want to try and spend more time in ranked queue to se how far I can get so as soon as I saw that flex was open this pre-season I just went for it.
OMG!!!!!!!!!! I have read countless threads of how support gets blamed for everything but really have not experienced it to any real extent until now..
First game I am play naut support (every game I'm naut) with a cait against a thresh/varus red side. They are pushing the lane hard and at level 3 we are already pushed under tower with thresh sitting in our bush. Varus moves a little toward the river so I go in for a trade on thresh to try and get rid of some pressure. Cait does NOTHING!! and I'm left with less than half life. Naturally I chill out a bit behind tower so I don't get dived on and ward tri bush . Now was the trade a good idea by me? Maybe yes maybe no (I'm bronze 1 for a reason) but cait doing nothing made it a ton worse. Now I'm being blamed for being behind tower and not standing in front of her. Everything that went wrong that game was on me. Hey I diad mid..why didn't you roam. Hey you didn't land that 1 hook out of 10 worse support ever!
Second game: MF is doing a great job of love tapping the enemy team and last hitting a tristana/Nami. Nami is at quarter life at level 3. I know they have heal but nami and trist kind of far apart so I go ahead and hook, E nami. My adc goes after their ADC. I killed nami, but adc lost to their adc. I am blamed for not focusing adc, BUT if we went after adc then nami is going to bubble/heal. Maybe a bad play maybe Im not thinking about this right but now Im the worse support ever and my adc starts raging.
Third game our jungle is trying for a lane gank (we are on red side) but the wave is pushed under their tower. I move up to ward the river so you know we don't get counter ganked. Team does not wait until they push to mid but jumps in while Im warding. I try to get into the fight to ult but I'm late and they don't get a kill. For the next 2 minutes its all about how I should have been their for the start of the fight.
4th game a team fight breaks out in the jungle (we get caught) but hey I try and and E, auto , and R their adc. I hit W and try and run right when another team mate runs in and tries to make a play, realizes everyone is running and also tries to run. We both die. Hey naut where was the peel you did nothing! ROAR I hate your you so stupid! I was like WTF I used every ability I had!
Bottom line is I'm not the best there is a reason I'm bronze, but I'm not the only reason we are losing these games! Guess what you are bronze too!! Try focusing on improving your game and stop blaming others for your loss.
