I absolutely love Sivir she is my favorite champ so believe me when i tell you Rito

You cannot repeat CANNOT keep her crits on W the way they are they are definitely going to have to be reduced crits otherwise you will have Sivirs one shotting entire waves with a single W auto attack and doing 500-600 damage per bounce on Ricochet.

I just tested it (In a bot game) and once i got a few items on me a single attack from W was enough to clear an entire wave of minions and a Single W with all 3 attacks at 100 percent crit chance wiped out 3 enemy champs by themselves

and i made sure to sit AFK until the bots caught up with me.

Again i absolutely love Sivir to death but this W with the way it currently is (I know its PBE for testing) Will be so overpowered that she will be instant pick or ban guaranteed.

EDIT: I don't know why i am being Downvoted here but if someone could explain why they downvote that would be nice.

I am pretty sure that alot of you aren't going to be happy when those Ricochet bounces hit you for 500-600 damage when you are in the backline.

EDIT2: Wow people see 100 percent and automatically assume i am going to try and build 100 percent crit chance every game. No an average game will with an essence reaver crit build will see an ADC with at least 70 percent Crit chance which is more than reasonable for any build.

Stop looking at the 100 and then going hog wild jesus.

Two days ago I would say 'calm down, fellow Sivir player, they are just testing things surely this won't go live'.

But Xin buffs did.

I tested those too and they honestly dont feel that strong.

He still has to get right up in your face and is still subject to being kited and having no escape. The crit isn't even a full crit either and i honestly don't think he will be too much stronger.

Albeit it was late game, I tried him in a custom game on the PBE and once I was full build and I had 4 dragons I could solo inhib turrets with full hp left after LOL

base damage is still 50 %

meaning that if you have 200 ad with an essence reaver and you crit with one w, the w will do 200 .

aka next time please read.

I went and tested it in game yesterday on the PBE and they were doing 500 damage per crit on the ricochet.

That actually means if you crit the damage cap is removed, as it clearly says it can "Critically strike with no penalties". If they added the same thing to Yasuo after using his ult, like his Q loses the damage reduction with a similar sentence in patch notes, his Q would deal full critical strike damage.

And how often do you find yourself building 100% crit in any other game except bots?

HandheldBrandon1 votes

70 percent crit is what an average crit build tends to have in it and thats more than enough for most champs.

I don't play Sivir. I've never had problems with Sivir. I think that clearing a minion wave in 3 attacks and 1 skill after 3 full items is pretty much on par with MF, Graves, Corki, etc.

HandheldBrandon1 votes

I don't think thats a problem either.

The thing was seeing was i was popping W throwing one W empowered auto attack and it cleared the entire wave.

For 60 mana I cleared an entire wave and with essence reaver the a single crit made the entire cost null.

EDIT: I tested this without statikk Shiv and used phantom dancer insteadv so the numbers wouldnt be quite mucked up.

Oh, I thought it was W and the full 3 bouncing AAs.

Well, I'm not too sure it's still a problem. She is supposed to be a waveclear specialist. Maybe that's too special? Idk.

HandheldBrandon1 votes

I play her alot and her wave clear is in her ability to pop W throw Q and delete the wave but at a signifcant mana cost for when you need to push fast.

So she'll have waveclear about as good as most mages in exchange for being the worst adc by any other metric? That sounds pretty fair to me.

HandheldBrandon1 votes

I don't believe shes the worst ADC but shes definitely not near the top.

Also she already has really good if not better wave clear than alot of mages and depending on the mage she can do it at bit less of a mana cost.

I don't think she's the worst adc either, but she's very bad at everything other adcs are capable of dueling and picking targets is pretty bad due to her poor burst and lack of cc sieging and tank busting are poor due to her low range and weak single target dps safety and reliability are terrible due to low range and lack of dashes she does have strengths: waveclear, AoE damage, poke resistance, and her ult, but they are weird strengths that are not the reasons your team needs an adc for.

In order to get 100% crit, you have to prioritize AS/crit over raw AD. That makes her Q significantly worse.

What you're describing is that Sivir now has the option to either siege and waveclear extremely well or aoe extremely well. Because if all you have are crit and AS, your Q's are wet noodles that don't do shit vs champions.

That sounds good, not bad.

An average crit build for someone like Sivir would involve item 3508 , item 3031 and an attack speed based crit item item 3087 Or item 3046 Or item 3094.

Thats 70 percent crit chance which is more than enough and with her wave clear and ability to fast farm and push its not too difficult to attain.

In the games i opted for Phantom dancer simply because i wanted to test it out and see how powerful the crits actually were and i couldn't do that with statikk as the proc would ruin the numbers. I could have done it with Rapid fire cannon but IMO rapid fire cannon gets you into a mindset where you think you have more range than you actually do because you arent paying attention and then you get yourself into trouble.

At 70 percent crit chance in one of the games i played i could drop W on a wave and the enemy team would have to completely scatter otherwise my crits would bounce to their back line. We actually killed their mid laner and support during a fight because all 3 of my W's were crit bounces in a fight and they got wiped out before they could even get into full range.

  1. 70% != 100%. Don't move goalposts. Stick with what you say.
  2. I am looking at probuilds.net and seeing that, and as I suspected, the trend in Sivir builds is to stack AD for those hard hitting Qs. This suggests that Sivir's previous niche of sieging, waveclear, and poke was her only niche. Hence, Riot gives her that unique element to her W.
  3. you are describing exactly what I was talking about. Now try to siege the enemy with a 100% crit build using your Q. You're not going to be able to late game. Therefore, you have to rely on 'sieging' with autos. You will get destroyed even with RFC.

No one plays Sivir. This new element is obviously extremely strong but has some out-playability since it relies on positioning as opposed to simply outranging the enemy. People aren't used to fighting against her atm. Give it a week, and people will scatter just like they do when anticipating a malphite ult.

You are tunnel visioning way too fucking hard on that 100 percent crit chance.

Seriously though relax 70 percent crit chanc is reasonable enough for a decent build and provides more than enough opportunity for crits to happen.

I swear people see a number and then automatically assume thats the build i used every game. NO. Its what i used to test it.
