Yasuo is weaker than Urgot

arbokfister··115 votes·7,287 views

Yasuo can't even switch places with an enemy with his ult like Urgot can. What an idiot

Yasuo can block projectiles which is ok I guess but Urgot CAN MAKE YOU TRADE POSITIONS AND THEN YOUR PROJECTILES ARE GOING THE WRONG WAY BECAUSE YOUR TARGET IS SOMEWHERE ELSE

Yasuo can't decide when his shield goes up like Urgot can

Yasuo hasn't received a visual update yet. Urgot has and looks fucking bad ass

Yasuo has to wait for a knock up to ult Urgot does not

TL DR; Yasuo is inferior to Urgot

Urgot uses Mana as a resource but Yasuo's oom all the time so he never gets to use any of his spells, gg.

That...... sums it up pretty good

Rew7112 votes

That and the fact #4 is redundant since Urgot has been around for years and Yasuo got released last year.

Idk what you mean. Yasuo looks so outdated compared to Urgot. Urgot is just an all around better champion.

Plus Urgot can slow. CAN YASOU SLOW?! I THINK NOT!

The fact that

Urgot is just an all around better champion.

Is the only thing that makes me agree with you. But, a champion's look shouldn't be changed so quickly. Yasuo just came and to me, his image isn't half bad. He's a chill guy, with a sword sitting next to him. I kind-of like that feel. The only thing I wish that they would do to Yasuo is give him 320 movement speed and allow his passive to give him bonus MS like it did at release.

Besides, Yasuo is pretty balanced compared to other mana-less champions. His attacks aren't crazy and his late game is usually his best.

The only thing I'm unhappy about is that Udyr has no compensation for all his close range. Its annoying that each stance change makes all his abilities go through a full second cool down.

his 2x crit chance passive is what makes him so deadly since its faster and cheaper to get a high crit chance than any other champ but his ult feels like the design team going overboard, I think the high kill requirement is the only thing keeping rito from nerfing everything he has

Nearly all of the 5 or 6 Urgot players I've ran into in the past year have used their ult when they were about to die. I can just picture a voiceover going like this...

"There. I slightly inconvenienced you. Now what?" "Wow.. yeah that's... I don't know any more. I'm going back to base to think about it." "See that you do."

why would they ult at the end of the fight when at the beginning it's when his ult shines? lol wut... e_e

The Chain Warder3 votes

Well, if it's a team fight, you might not want to throw yourself into the midst of five champions. So you wait for someone else to engage, you fight, you're about to die, and you ult just to make your last moments worth something (by disabling an enemy champion for a moment). Idk, you have to assess the situation and figure out when's the best time. But yes, usually you'd aim for their carry earlier in the fight, I think.

RainbowIcee3 votes

I know what you're saying but even during a fight it's best to ult the earliest for that extra armor + mr. It does wonders. Though I won't defend his ult, it is crappy... maybe if it wasn't interruptable it might be worth considering.

I would assume because they don't know how to play him properly. I really rarely see him played. I've seen more Yorick players than I have Urgot players.

Avios18 votes

I acually ult in the middle of the fight for the armor and MR buff, then i get double kills with him. Urgot main, no joke.

I need to apologize to you. I didn't believe you so had to check your profile. Way to play a champ you love regardless of FotM! Have my upvote, since it is the only thing I can actually give you.

Actually, his Ult has 1vs1 applications, regardless of the position switch, since it gives you a whoopin' 120 AR and MR for 5 seconds, and applies a slow. It may very well be the biggest AR/MR steroid in the entire game (didn't check)

Combined with his passive and shield, and an ulted Urgot get very tanky.

Sooko25 votes

Yeah, I mean, wtf, Yasuo's shield doesn't even scale with mana. Rito doesn't even give Yasuo mana for me to stack up my shield. Wtf Rito why u do dis?

Urgot shreds armor Yasuo gets armor pen Urgot is better team player cuz everyone can attack armor shred champs Yasuo is selfish gg report

Urgot is mentaly preparing us for how ugly real life is and thus looks ugly(and badass) Yasuo is weebo trash with dream body to make weaklings buy him

Urgot is range Yasuo is melee

There is no way to deny the truth, Yasuo mains. Your champion is inferior to our lord and savior.

I lol'ed, then I remembered an Urgot player who fed initially, and then ended up carrying the fking game. He got bitched at a bit by bot lane, but mid and myself in jungle kept calm, and he was able to wrangle an apology from our team later.

Urgot Deals 4 Qs after landing a successful E after 3 failed tries to kill an opponent. Yasuo Deals 2 autoattacks and receives pentakill.

Jalkan5 votes

More like Yasuo deals 2 autoattacks, can't even access his CC yet and does 10% of an enemy's health Urgot Lands one E and gets at least 2 kills.

But Yasuo can 3 shot people with 2 items Urgod cant do that.

When Yasuo gets ganked he dies. When Urgot gets ganked he switches with the jungler, runs into the river, and disguises himself as the scuttle crab.

An accurate depiction of getting ganked as Urgot. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=k6JHaBVySTA

I think yasuo's main problem is that his ult practically requires ally setup to use optimally, so he's gated by team comp. Yasuo has everything he needs but the ability to get into a teamfight on his own.

Klatn Yelox1 votes

All of this is because of how strong Urgot can be if played correctly, and not around a few other popular champs which the current LCS meta uses frequently. He is strong against most champs people see as OP (Zed, Yasuo, etc) but weak against the champs that are actually the strong. At least, I think he is weak against them. Not being good enough to see those matchups, and not watching LCS means this is somewhat speculation. However, in my experience, he wins most matchups by default due to his passive, the slow, and the shield. The armor reduction helps, as well as the rewards for building mana like he always does.

Avios11 votes

Well, he only is bad versus very tanky champs, due to the whole "i got sustain and armor" thing. Otherwise, he crushes the meta right now.

Klatn Yelox1 votes

It has been a while, so I am sorry for bringing back a dead thread, but I would like to point out that the %armor shred on his E, as well as the continual damage to stack a Black Cleaver, and the last whisper problem all allow Urgot to essentially ignore the fact that you have armor. Black Cleaver, Last Whisper, and Manamune being your only hard damage items, allows you to build an Iceborn Gauntlet, Banshee's Veil, and whichever boots you please in order to be nearly as tanky as the tanks on the enemy team, while shredding their tankiness, and reducing everyone's damage. If you need sustain, you can swap Manamune for an Essence Reaver, and Last Whisper for a BT. Or you can buy a Gunblade instead of Last Whisper, and keep the rest. Also, since all his damage is physical, it will all proc the Elixer of Wrath's damage return, which helps tremendously.

The only thing I think that really hard-counters him is silences, and hard engage CC comps. You can soft counter him with anything if you play it right, but the hard counters are the only thing I see in my low ELO on a regular basis.

  1. Is almost never useful except for chasing, which Yasuo does quite well
  2. Yasuo's Wind Wall can block them for multiple people, and switching places would only work with skill shots.
  3. A good Yasuo can definitely decide when it goes up, as it only goes up when he is damaged at full Flow.
  4. Eh, that's your opinion, Urgot still looks like a pile of shit to me
  5. Again, it doesn't take long for Yasuo to get a knockup, he can do it in seconds with his Q, which is just a modified AA

TL;DR OP obviously just had one good game against a sucky Yasuo, and managed to outplay him

freeformline3 votes

I think the OP was going for humor, but I would agree with you that Yasuo is better than Urgot in most situations. That said, I love my Urgot top and would be happy to wreck anyone who wants to talk trash about the last of my original mains who remains un-reworked.

Avios12 votes

You speak the truth my friends, let us enjoy the originals while he lasts. After they rework him, im going to Evelynn though.
