Please. do not bring this to NA. please..... i have played a fair amount of DOTA 2. I wanted to strangle every single person who ever used it.

Pardon what could be a dumb question, but what's VOIP?
Voice over Internet Protocol - Its the fancy way of saying Being able to autisticly screech into your teammates ears
Oh. Well, I recall something a few weeks back, I can't remember whether it was an Ask Riot or just them chiming in on something, but I remember them saying that if they do add voice-chat, they want to make it an opt-in kind of feature, rather than a compulsory one.
Personally, I don't much like voice chat - I hate the thought of people hearing my voice (as irrational as that is), and I've also had to deal with my fair share of Heliums in TF2. Gods, was that ear-bleedingly awful fun.
Some games have the right audience for it. R6 Siege, and CS GO for examples. But league would be awful.
if its opt in, what is the big deal?
I for one want to voice chat. As a trans girl I expect assholes, but I don't want to have the option not exist because "muh toxicity"
If you are not opted in you should just not be able to hear anyone. Win/win
