Why does killing someone with GA not count for resets

The way I see it GA is a resurrect meaning that the champion did die. I understand that why for good reason it doesn't award kill gold for popping GA but resets that's ridiculous. For example if I Pyke kills someone with a GA using ult he will not get a reset I believe this is the same with other reset mechanics as well. This as a fact makes no sense as pooping GA should count as a kill for all purposes aside from gold. It doesn't make sense whatsoever for Pyke killing someone and them resurrecting not counting for resets. The only reason I can see for this is lazy programming of GA making it hard for GA to grant resets without kill gold or cuts(in Pyke's case). If this is the case then It may as well be a bug and should be fixed. *If this is intentional please tell me why because right now it really just the worst feeling having a team full of GA's that deny the lategame effectiveness of reset based champs. Thank you for your time reading my post it is much appreciated

Because it's not a kill. If you blow your resetting ability on someone who has GA-- which has a very, very clear visual indicator-- that's your mistake.

Death is a status effect, and GA prevents that status effect from being applied. Think of it like a spell shield stopping a stun.

Because resets need some way to counter them.

And Pyke doesn't need to be anymore broken.
