How can Riot justify the Kindred nerfs and let Ahri in this state ?

Riot removed Kindred's basic sustain that ruined her early in jungle and trading capabilities, making her early impossible unless you played the champion a hundred times and mastered everything in the game when you compare it to other champion's scaling.

Meanwhile, we have Ahri middle, Ahri ADC, Ahri top whatever Ahri is everywhere because :

  • She has great damage
  • She is litteraly uncatchable, way too much safe
  • She has a movement burst on her Q
  • She has a great sustain tool with her Q
  • One of the best CC in the game when used correctly

In today's meta, it's rarely possible to lose your lane with Ahri because her whole kit gives her everything a champion needs. In teamfight she can easily catch and kill the main carry in the ennemy team and flee without any problem or caution. She cannot be punished for her actions because she can litteraly kill anyone without even landing her skillshots and head back to her team. She will probably have a lot of attention during worlds, and it sickens me that Riot just destroyed Kindred because of that and leaving other champions like Ahri in the spotlight now, ruining some people's fun because they don't want to take a look at some balance.

Kindred's sustain was removed because she forced early trades with everyone and everyone lost. Riot replaced her heal from W to AS slow for monsters and that means her jungle is untouched but early trading with people means she has to fight on equal footing and they can push her out of her jungle if she gets caught offguard.

Ahri is definitely not popping off everywhere, at least in my ELO. She's in a decent spot and as a mage, she excels at mid range trades or has access to the back line with her ult. That's pretty much what she was designed for. Her sustain isn't a problem at all.

Out of your 20 last games, there's only 3 Ahri games and 1 of those is you. Hardly a popular or a rising pick. It's still about Viktor, Cass, LeBlanc and Fizz. On the side note, you attempted to play Kindred as an ADC with on-hit builds still and Kindred's damage is highly dependent on her stacks from jungle camps or kills. That's why your builds don't work - you have to build like an ADC, not like a Vayne.

I'm playing another game and guess what... another Ahri snowballs on our midlaner. You made your point and it's clear and correct but nothing can convince me that Ahri doesn't need a huge nerf hammer. As an assassin, she has way too much safety and mobility, even Fizz doesn't have THAT much come on. Just check her stats on op.gg or something else.

As for Kindred, i have no words to how this champ got smashed just because they got tired of her on lcs. She is way too weak, has litteraly no impact in the game as a Xin, Yi or other "assassin" go-in junglers. If the ennemy jungler decides to play smart and camp your passive, you're doomed because most of them will 1v1 you early. I don't see how fair it is really.

Camping Kindred's passive is risky. It all depends where the mark spawns. If it's in your jungle, the enemy jungler has to risk it and try to take it away from you and if it's in the enemy jungle, you're the one who takes that risk if you don't know who might be waiting in the bushes.

On the other hand, Kindred gets stacks from kills so if you see a chance to gank (and Kindred is still an excellent ganker), you can ignore the enemy camps completely in favor of superior lane pressure.

As for this picture, who was your mid laner? I don't see anyone who can deal with Ahri properly and as soon as she got the upper hand, she used it correctly and carried her team to victory. If it was Jayce, he cannot hit his gate Q and he cannot approach her with his hammer form because of the Charm and if was Riven, Ahri has limited mobility but in the same situation of both using their ults to fight, Ahri still wins because of her Charm. It all really depends on how skilled the Riven was. Rumble just doesn't have anything to deal with an Ahri mid. It would have been a free farm lane.

but nothing can convince me that Ahri doesn't need a huge nerf hammer.

No real reason for a discussion then.. But anyway a few things: First: What does have Kindred to do with Ahri? Nothing, they have literally nothing in common apart from beeing champs at this game. Thats saying "Why is Ashe allowed to be so strong while Yorick is shit right now". Like.. what has one thing to do with the other? If you think Ahri is too strong fine one thing and if you also think that Kindred's too weak also fine, but the one has nothing to do with the other.

Second: You are exaggerating Ahri's strengths as usual when someone complains about a champ... shes strong, but she is not unpunishable, she cannot kill someone without her Q and E unless really fed, her sustain is there but basically negligible since its 1.) not very much and 2.) you need to use atleast 3 Spells to get it, and considering her manacosts you can't just spam out spells to sustain up. It's nice to have, but nothing more.

Third: "She will probably have a lot of attention during worlds" Funny enough, when they nerfed her Charm to no longer interrupt dashes this spring Ahri INSTANTLY vanished from any Pro-Play. Completely. In the big leagues (LCS EU+NA/LCK/LPL) she was since played exactly 3 times; twice by people that picked her because Ahri is a comfort pick for them (and lost) and once in a game where the result didn't matter anything. On contrary, in Pro-Play Ahri is considered more or less garbage right now since she doesn't offer anything special. She can everything decently-good, but she does not really excel at anything. Pro's however pick champions for specific reasons; Splitpush, Waveclear, CC, Teamfight etc. and for every single category there is a champ, that offers more in this specific department than Ahri.

So, no, she will probably have like zero attention at worlds and it would be a suprise if she got picked even a single time.

Seems like someone lost game to Ahri.

Yes but i see an Ahri every single game now and with the skin coming out it's just enough people should be realizing she is WORST than Ekko, Yasuo or whatever bans.

Ahri is Riot's special champion.Don't you know?

I've always been pretty sickened about Ahri's using only their W's, Ulti's and auto attacks to kill a target, without needing to use their Q or E. Then again this goes for many other champions.
