just got promoted to GOLD 5 today :D, had great success with Soraka supp, and my advice in general is if ur supporting stick to ur adc like glue all game, do not waste your money on item 2049 , just buy item 2043 and atleast one item 2044 , and use these on midlane,

what does this 'sticking to adc' strat do? well, ADC role's purpose and identity is to hyper-carry, we all want that ADC to have the most kills, but... their weakness is their survivability, anybody can snipe them, so the supp's job is to protect-peel for the ADC, normally, in normals/ranked supp's abandon their ADC's to roam other lanes or ward, i am AGAINST THIS, because you are taking a huge risk for minimal gain, you risk your life and ur adc just to fkn ward an area? rly? or to help mid? rly? mid needs to cs and get xp, by the supp roaming to mid they are robbing xp from mid.

summary: to professionaly and successfuly play supp role, stick to ur adc like glue and get items that reduce CDR so u can spam them to buff ur adc.

That wont work in higher ELOs. U are not your ADCs support, you are your teams support

got to gold 5 w/o following ur bronze/silver strat, in platinum --> u do need ss and u do need to know when to roam, bye

The support does is not there solely for the ADC.

Let's say you've already lost your first tower in bot lane and your ADC is behind. They freeze the wave the the second tower; what will you do?

You could just sit there and not do much of anything other than placing a ward in the tr-bush. Or you can roam mid or top and help your other teammates get leads.

Champions like Alistar Annie Leona Thresh are great at this, especially with Mobility boots.

it's generally a good idea, but sometimes no amount of holding an adcs hand will get them anywhere, so sometimes its best to give up on them, even if they are a vayne. a while ago our team was feeding pretty bad, but the only one who could trade a kill for kill was the suicidal yasuo, so I gave up on her and marked yasuo as the win condition and just followed him into his suicidal rushes, saving his dumb ass despite my better judgment, and ended he ended up winning the game for us, while the adc still did nothing.

I guess I have a bit of a jungle mentality when it comes to support, "help the winning lane"

the jungler should be going to the winning lane, the supp should stick to their adc, ur a terrible supp and probably in silver/bronze, first of all the ADC 'does nothing' when he feels like he's gona die, the supp is supposed to stick to their adc to make them feel powerful, every adc knows they die easily and a roaming supp makes them feel worse, that's why they do nothing all game, but when the supp sticks to the adc, they feel confident and actaully lead-carry the game, got go g5 from this, and adc's add me to their friends list, higher elo's add me

Don't act like you are better man. Gold 5 is still trash (and yes I am G5 too, I ain't better than trash).

How to win games as support in low elo: 1.) Try to get ADC hyperfed 1.1) If ADC is a potato then get your midlane fed 1.2) If mid and bot are potatos then get your toplaner ahead.

2.) Call objectives (literally easy as hell)

This means if my ADC sucks I will drop him, because I rather have a person that knows how to play his champ fed than a guy that doesn't.

I dont agree. Stick to whoever is winning. How is sticking to the Vayne who is already 2/8 going to help. Im sticking to the 9/3 Yasuo.

I dont always remember to do it.. but I try to check about the time Zeke's comes on board to decide who I am going to support.
