Quinn R needs QOL: remove immobility while channeling

outliving38··11 votes·1,090 views

thank you for the changes in 5.23, however, if you play Quinn and use R and see that a minion can interrupt it, not only that, you are immobile while channeling R, let's re-work that to:

while channeling 'R', your MS is reduced by: 33% until channeling is complete, minions may not interrupt the casting nor reduce your MS.

R mana cost: 75 at all levels

Sigh.. QOL changes aren't related to stuff like this..

QOL is like changing ability description or adding item/ability range.

What you ask is plain and simple change(buff). Strong or not.

let's go Quinn support, she needs all the help we can provide for her

In my 5+ years of playing LoL i played Quinn only 3 times (or maybe just 2..). All long before her rework..

So I'd prefer not giving my opinions on what she needs or not :)

Just wanted to point out that it isn't Quality of Life improvement.

Her ult is going to be getting some changes this cycle. They are looking to add some power of reliability in exchange for a short cool down (the mana cost is good how it is)

spread the word, we need Quinn support

Source?

being able to move, even slightly while channeling her ult would feel super awesome.

i know.. it's a good feeling to move to the direction you want to 'fly' to, it's a good new experience, but that immobility just shut's u down and it's frustrating :/

thank you! spread the word :D, make posts

I think she should be able to chase down someone, I mean for the fux's sake, for 2 seconds channeling and then comes a minion wave and you can't chase.

Unlucky Number71 votes

you can already chase someone through the jungle, cause they's no minions. you can only chase someone at specific times during lane.

Cherysse1 votes

Yeap, and it is lame, I mean the ult is great to get to a place, but it sucks when it comes to chase someone, and it was really good at it before the rework, also it does't interact with any of the other Quinn's abilities, which is a waste of potential.

Unlucky Number71 votes

still there is plenty of other adcs that excel at chasing. let quin be the adc that excels at roaming. wasted potential maybe. but i don't want her roaming nerfed to improve her chasing potential.

Cherysse1 votes

Yeah, but the only problem I have with her ult now is that it doesn't interact with Quinn's other abilities.

Unlucky Number71 votes

i am perfectly fine with that. i feel it should be a powerful utility ult. the one interaction i would like is to have w castable while you're flying.

Cherysse1 votes

You can cast it, the thing is that flying at the speed of sound would cause her W to be kinda stupid, mainly because the area you revealed will be really far behind after 1 second -.-

In the other hand it is an ult that depends a lot on Homeguards and Mobility Boots to be fully efficient.

I feel that her old ult could have gained those mechanics instead, due to the long cooldown, it would have been better to see it having a longer duration, with these mechanics, it would have been more useful, so that instead of removing the characteristics we like about the new ult we combine them both into a new ult that also serves for the battle

Unlucky Number71 votes

the biggest strength of her new ult is the incredibly short cooldown. i don't see how you can combine the strengths of her old ult with the strengths of her new ult without being incredibly overpowered.

Cherysse1 votes

Making it a more important desicion, instead of spamming the ult, she can use it at the base, and like it has a longer duration you can get to the lane and do her old assasination trick. It could also once again be used to scape, and it is better because we have a longer cooldown but more versatility and utility.

Unlucky Number71 votes

so basically you want her old ult back?

Cherysse1 votes

I want the old ult back with some of the mechanics of the new. Mainly because this new ult, even if it is powerful in terms of utility, it does not fit her kit and does not make her a better ADC or a better Top, it doesn't even make her a good midlaner, because there are many better options for that role than her (maybe it makes her a better jungler instead). The thing is, for this rework we are paying a price; the Q passive proc is good, but for this reason we lost her old AoE blind, also we have lost 3 of the things that helped A LOT during a fight, her assasination capacity , her execution capacity and her ability to scape. Also if you consider that in order to get full advantage of the ult you need homeguard (get to minute 20 now), and to get homeguard you need to use recall, so it is not only 2 seconds of channeling time, it is 10 seconds). Still I like the changes on her base abilities, but her ult disrupts her gameplay too much. I was already able to get up to 700 MS with her old ult (without boots)... so it pretty much make little sense for me to take all the capacities she already had (assasination, chase, scape, AoE execution and roam) and make her do only one of the things she was already able to do.

I must say I have fun playing the new Quinn, but I play her in the jungle as I always did (I ended 10-2-8), and her ult makes her a better jungler, makes her better to get into the lane, but makes her worst when a team fight comes or when you have to face an assassin, I played her on the lane and I had a lot of troubles, mainly because everyone can notice when she is missing from a lane, in the jungle I don't have these problems and with the new changes I know I will do quite well on the jungle (because the new Q stops monsters from attacking), but it isn't healthy for her, and now she will perform worst until minute 20, also now everytime you play her you feel the need to go B once each minute just to go to somewhere else, which doesn't feel healthy either.

Unlucky Number71 votes

what about the new ult do you want?

Cherysse1 votes

It would balance some things up. If I was up to make a new ult for her I would do this:

Tag Team: Quinn Flies to the skies and is replaced in battle by her eagle companion. Valor is a melee attacker, he has 45/60/75 bonus base movement speed which is doubled while out of battle. Tag Team lasts for 20 seconds (from 12 seconds).

New Synergy with Q: If Quinn activates Tag Team while Valor is flying in a Blinding Assault then he will be released into the battle on his current position (Q missile position).

Morph abilities interaction (they share cooldown with Quinn): Harrier: same as regular but with a feral SFX. **Q: **Can be used like a dash (Vi's style), this would keep the mechanic of the first target hit for the blind and the passive. **E:**same as it was, but now if Valor or Skystrike kills an enemy champion he gets the CD of Vault refreshed.

Skystrike: same as S5 or same as Live.

Cooldown: 120/90/60.

Would be good, it is kinda shitty when a minion spits on you and cancels your ult..

outliving381 votes

thank you, i feel the same way, frustrating and laughable

Phoenix Kotori 1 votes

Removing it adds a **lot **of power.

Honestly I'd be concerned about this breaking her for sure.

Scryer1 votes

So, you're a troll.

Phoenix Kotori 1 votes

Still isn't QoL and could easy push Quinn over the line to becoming really OP.

Those effects (Channel & Minion breaking) are needed or basically it becomes impossible to escape Quinn unless you have a turret or ally to save you because of how much chase power her ult already gives.

Pure 100% buff. Not QoL.
