Unless they have fortune tellers working at RIOT, how are they supposed to know when the bug will be contained and fixed?

There's this magical thing called maybe knowing the severity of the bug and being able to make a rough estimate based on past history (e.g. this isn't as serious as the recall bug, so it prob won't be taking a long time).

So you are making assumptions about what they know. I am going to make the assumption you have never worked with code, especially on a large scale.

lol you're making assumptions on how little Rioters have said stuff in the past regarding bugs and their eventual fixes, especially on Reddit. Not all bugs take impossibly long to fix or take seconds, and in some cases Rioters directly say something about how bad they are on Reddit, which means people have knowledge of how bad it is. You sure seem to know everything.
