On 12th loss in a row, some matchmaking thoughts

I think this is probably going to lead to some "you probably just suck" trolling but I am posting this to hear other people's similar experiences with the matching system. I thought I was doing really well in silver, 55-65% win rate for quite some time, 3.5 KDA, made it to Silver II, playing healthily in that bracket. After taking a break to visit my family for a few days I come back in, and lose several games in a row. Those first games back felt like I was missing more skillshots than usual and not quite playing up to par, but more so, I was getting games with DCs, unranked players trying ranked for the first time, all lanes net negative game after game. Now I got demoted to silver 4 my KDA is around 1.7 and ive lost 75% of my last 20 games, including the 12-in a row loss streak I am currently on. Even when my teams were doing well in the early game, it seemed like lategame they would overextend, not contest objectives, not adapt to the current meta (BAN WW, contest dragon at respawn). I'm not going to say that I think the matchmaking system is "broken", I'm sure it's a huge undertaking for it to be as well tuned as it is, but it's such a bummer to me that both these games that cost me a demote there was a long DC from a member of my team. The Silver IV demotion, two of my teammates were dcing all game, and it would have almost certainly been a victory if one of the players just didn't come back for the last 5 minutes where we were winning 4v5s, somehow. Also, I noticed I lost, seemingly, as many points with first-ranked-only-plays-kogmaw on my team, who totally wasn't ready to be playing ranked, as I would playing against a more even match. I was feeling confident in my picking and counterpicking, my mechanics are decent, I'm aware of how to not lose your game by carrying and then getting hit with a 60 second death timer. I'd say 2 out of those 12 games I lost my lane pretty hard and contributed to a relatively snowball-friendly character winning, but many of the other games I was playing reasonably well and even if I was carrying my lane, it was the only lane that was positive. I want to keep playing, I think league is a fun game, and I'm sure I have plenty to learn.

If I had 'feature request' changes for ranked. First would be, let teammates suggest bans! If our captain doesn't know warwick is winning 60% of his games and is out of control right now, other players should be able to vote on bans or suggest them to the captain, instead of just typing it in chat. Secondly, if you're trying to place a new ranked player, and their first game is all high silvers and low golds, your team shouldn't lose many points for that loss. Unless you get really lucky and somebody has taken the time to learn all roles before trying ranked, they are going to get counterpicked, not get their preference, and get decimated. Thirdly, the game should take into account DCers in solo queue, and maybe you shouldn't get demoted simply because some teammates family decides to start watching netflix.
