Question about triforce.

I have been playing gnar top for a long time. BC rush most of the games. Not too long, his base damage was increased, and i opted to do a sheen rush instead of a phage, and replaced BC entirely for triforce. And i have increased my winrate in that way. Gnar already has MS increase on his third proc, so no really need for an early phage (the hp part is not really that needed as it his hard to catch and GNAR gives you some sustain), and i have been able to take more advantage of the sheen passive since you can do your AAQAA more often due the early extra cdr and the added bonus damage + triggering the MS. So far this method has been more successful for me in matches where i previously struggled (i couldnt force nasus or renek to base and got steamrolled a bit after for instance) while i now get massive leads (talking about 30~ish cs pre lvl 6 against nasus and still force him to re due to kill pressure). That is without talking about the all in (R/aa/W/aa/Q/aa the sheen damage is massive and i can actually burst them. before they survived with 10 hp and killed me while everything was on cd, my aa were useless most of the times with phage)

Since the patch where gnar got the buffs, i have not really found a tank or bruiser that can keep up with the damage. (sure, sometimes some one outdamages me and die). I have been experiencing a better laning phase, but say for instance a tank jungler is on par with me on items and xp. Which item is actually better to kill tanks with gnar's kit? Say you have a triforce and the FM. or a BC and the FM.

And if i could ask another one. Which item benefits more from sterak's gage, Triforce or BC?

In theory, Black Cleaver is usually better suited for dealing with Tanks, due to the Armor Penetration, whilst Trinity Force is better suited against squisher targets, due to the higher damage of Sheen procs.

However, this is in theory, and not necessarily the case in practice.

Which item benefits more from sterak's gage, Triforce or BC?

Trinity Force used to synergize the most with Sterak's Gage, due to the Base AD Sterak's Gage gave increased the damage of Trinity Force's Spellblade passive, but that has since been changed into Sterak's Gage giving Bonus AD.

Since Sterak's Gage's Shield is based on Bonus Health, and since Black Cleaver gives more Health than Trinity Force, that means Black Cleaver and Sterak's Gage synergizes more with each other than Triforce and Sterak's Gage does.

That being said, you should only build Black Cleaver if you're up against a Tank.

Also, I wouldn't recommend building Sterak's Gage on Gnar.
