Which masteries are optimal most of the time in your opinion and are full armor penetration runes worth running since the nerf of armor penetration (flat has less options in itemization and % is bonus only)?

Could you share your thoughts on the Stormraider's Surge/Bounty Hunter/Intelligence masteries and if they are worth running in any case?

Lastly, how do you feel the removal of crystalline flask has affected him and with what item(s) do you start?

I'm still testing different things and I would like some input. Feel free to post what you are running as his core items and masteries.

Edit: If you're not High elo but would still like to voice opinion feel free I was just looking for some higher ranked opinions.

I am not a high elo Talon main by any means, but I do play him a lot. I recommend running Stormraider's Surge because of the movespeed you get helps winning trades and escaping when you assassinate. Talon lack escape after he assassinates, so he has a chance to get out now.

the Thunderlords decree increases his burst by a decent amount. And it always goes of with your combo. You should try that one. It also makes him a decent lane bully

I find StormRaider's is overall the best for him at all points in the game. It allows him to trade in lane better without being punished sp easily, as well as chase for follow up damage and even close out a kill.

With just a Long sword start, Talon can proc SRS at level 4. It synergized perfectly with his ultimate, as when you kill someone with your ult, you can ride the speed boost combined with your ult speed to just Peace the fk out or chase someone else. If you have Black Cleaver and/or youmuu's, its a wrap.

DeathFire and Thunderlord's are also good on him. Thunderlords going into his combo and DeathFire giving him some magic damage so he finally isn't completely shutdown by Armor, also synergizes with his Q.

stormraiders or thunderlords doesn't really matter which you can't go wrong with him

talon build is all over the place all though there is 3 thign to keep in mind when building him crit and raw ad are mandatory everything else is optional bc is a noob trap

What item do you recommend rushing now? I used to rush brutilizer and then build a Tiamat into hydra. Currently I am rushing ghostblade and building it fully then building into Hydra, but I am not too sure if this is most optimal. I like the new ghostblade because it gives a strong early game powerspike but again, not too sure about better options.

ghostblade ie lw swiftness boots

Then buy a phantom dancer if the enemy has a assassin too(or graves) or a deaths dance if they have a lot of burst or a mercurical scimitar if they have cc if non of the above requirments are met buy trinity force then finish with hydra and buy elixir of wrath whenever.

So I should build IE before a hydra? Should I at least get a Tiamat for the ability to animation cancel the W?
