How Do You Deal With Teammates Not Listening To Pings Then Blaming You When They Die?

Just as the title states, how are you meant to deal with this?

Just an example that happens to me fairly often (I was blue side):

As the Mid Laner, I'd just finished shoving the wave to the enemy tower (while last-hitting all the creeps I could, obviously) and backed. My opponent cleared the wave under their tower and then cleared another wave after that before disappearing into the fog of war, in what seemed to be the direction of the bot lane. All the while, I was just leaving base after buying what I wanted/needed and was now returning to lane. I noticed my laner had disappeared not too long ago, so I pinged missing to my team. I pinged once in my lane, once near dragon to show the direction I thought I saw him going and then once again in the middle of bot lane. In other words, I laid out a trail of pings to basically show my team where I thought my laner had gone. I even typed into chat that my opponent was missing.

Now again, keep in my that I had just left the fountain not too long before I sent those pings out, so I'm still basically in our base during all of this. Anyway, my bot lane, who had zero wards placed anywhere were still hard shoving their lane, with nearly 20-30% HP/Mana as if they weren't even hearing nor seeing my pings.

My laner ended up walking up from behind them as they were pushed up and got a double kill on both of them. Immediately following that, the support on my team began pinging me with the "Enemy Missing" ping over and over again, as though to tell me that I never pinged it.

When I mentioned to him that I did ping it multiple times, they came back at me with something along the lines of

"Well next time, follow your laner if they start roaming. You literally let him come down and kill us for free."

First off, I was nowhere near the lanes to even get there in time even if I wanted to follow them. Second, they didn't have any vision to be playing so aggressively with no HP/Mana, to begin with. And, third, my pings (and chat message) should have been enough to at the very least make them reconsider being so aggressive without vision.

So, basically I'm just curious as to what I am supposed to do about players on my team who don't listen to my pings or chat messages? If someone mutes me, then it's obvious to me that they wont see the chat messages, and that's why I use both everytime. However, when people are deliberately ignoring my pings and then blaming me for their deaths, it causes me to get frustrated and that can lead to bad decisions/tilt on my part. So, again, what am I supposed to do about players like this?

I see where you're coming from and I find myself doing this rather often, but what do you do once your now-stronger opponent returns to the lane, with better items, and is now looking to fight you knowing they're a tad stronger than you?

unless they have gotten shutdown gold with the turret and farm xp you have received you will be stronger than them, and your team is keeping level through those same global objectives.

farm there jungle on the way out as well suddenly there jungle is struggling for CS and you can collapse on them when they get over-confident and try to farm on your side of the map too, keep lanes pushing at all times people can't deal with multiple threats, thats the best way i have found.

of course if you can kill anyone or help a team fight its preferable but if you know you cannot turn it or win it from the get go, don't waste time push objectives while you team and the enemy waste time chasing each other, when they see or hear ''turret destroyed'' they start re-calling, go out go to mid push the next turret while the enemy are panicking about suddenly map pressure being on your teams side.

Well, yeah, that applies if you've taken the tower. I'm talking about, like, early/mid laning phase moments (I hope that made sense, because it honestly sounded more intelligent in my head than on screen).

haha makes perfect sense, what lane do you play? my advice will differ :P

Main Role: Support

2nd Role: Mid Lane

Role in Progress: Top Lane

Ignoring the Support role, this situation happens pretty often in Mid Lane and Top Lane. (More-so when I'm mid lane. I guess players are more understanding when your top lane opponent teleports into lane.)

TL;DR the answer is obvious, you ping them

Because that has clearly been working, right? ( ˘ ▃ ˘ )

If you did what you honestly think was the right thing to do, and your team-mates disagree, you just ignore them and do your best to still win the game in the end.

That's true not only about pinging/roaming, but about basically any conflict that could arise in your team. Antagonizing your mates and debating about who was wrong or right won't help you win; if they are stubborn and refuse to see their mistakes, let it slip and try to play around them. Personally I sometimes push it even as far as saying "sorry, I'll do it next time" or some similar bull-sh*t even if I have no intention to do it because I know it's a stupid idea, just to preserve the morale and attitude of the team. In the same vein, if one mate is raging at a 2nd one, it's sometimes useful to take the blame on yourself, and avoid them tilting each other.

I guess you're right. I'll try doing that next time. I did run into that last scenario you mentioned, once before actually, where my bot laners were arguing with each other. Sqid a bunch of "mushy" stuff to try and calm them down. Didn't work out so well. Needless to say, we lost that game. But, that aside, I will try my best to simply ignore them in future cases, should they arise.

I greatly appreciate the tip(s).
