League of Gimmicks

I had to double check the date to make sure it wasn't April 1st again after looking over the proposed changes to Garen and friends.

So, Garen gets gutted, but in return he gets the one thing that nobody wants more of in LoL; % based true damage. So basically if you kill him in lane he starts doing true damage to you..., as a reward for being beaten I guess...

Skarner gets a tedious minigame to make his gameplay more "interesting". Because all you want when jungling is more objectives to worry about. Oh yeah, and since your enemy gets gold from capping your rocks, if your team loses too much map control they start getting extra gold just because of your champ pick. You're instantly a major liability just for picking Skarner! Good luck not getting reported for trying to play him.

I cant even figure out what they're trying to do to Morde, and I cant care less about Darius.

The idea of wanting to push a unique experience for each champ is great, but the proposed changes here range from gimmicky to plain awful.

I dont think the suggestion that these changes are "still flexible" means anything. The community has been totally clear on how they feel about true damage, but Riot is putting it in the game at every opportunity. People were clear that they are tired of seeing Lee Sin. Once he finally started going away, he suddenly gets a buff. The community doesnt want every new champ to have high mobility, but at least 15 of the last 20 champs have mobility. And a few of the remaining 5 have some situational mobility (ex. Jinx passive)

Lesson is, Riot doesn't care what you think.

God, I so can not wait for Gigantic to be released, maybe the minds behind Starcraft and Guild Wars will listen to their player base.
