Please just give us old Kog back

Riot currently has an obsession with giving every champ an "identity". Generally this comes in the form of a "minigame" or some random thing forced into their kit that makes no sense thematically or balance wise. A good example being Fiora with a random aoe heal on an assassin, tank, fighter, adc, hypercarry. (I guess she needed a support ability too)

Considering this, their rework to KogMaw was all the more perplexing. They basically stripped him down to his W, raising his mana costs in a further attempt to make sure everything is centered around his W. His entire "identity" is that he can attack really fast and it looks kind of funny.

He predictably turned out to be s**t as a result of his terrible numbers.

Well, they finally buffed him, by adjusting his numbers and scalings to allow for more diverse strategies and builds, and.....

Oh, no actually they just buffed his W again.

Now he's strong! Of course, because they moved the passive attack speed bonus from his Q to his W. Now there is zero reason to level anything else. He is even more linear, and he now gets strong a lot faster because he gets a f**kton of stats from leveling one skill. Base attack speed, range, on-hit damage, along with the huge attack speed steroid.

Riot, really, honestly, in all seriousness, just fire your current balance team, or move them to another department at the very least.

People dont like the direction the game is going. They dont like the changes being made to the champs they spent time mastering. We dont want gimmicks, we dont want snowball mechanics, we dont want raid bosses in the form of "Juggernauts". We want a game that is as close to an even playing field as possible.

And this Kog'maw player wants the real Kog'maw back.

Kog actually had a unique identity before for both AP Mid styles and ADC. I was surprised he got any changes.

I explained his mid problems here. I'm honestly really sad about it because he was my favorite champion but I only played him as an AP poke mage. It felt like he got deleted for me.

I liked the old Graves, Kog, Fiora, Darius and so on. They "rework", then the champs are op, then they get nerfed and become garbage tier again...

My favorite ADC's before the preseason were Jinx and Kog'Maw. They nerfed Jinx and gave Kog a mini rework. Now I almost never play the role because they nerfed what were two of the strongest hypercarries in the game. Old Kog was more fun and felt more rewarding because he did more damage than Vayne. New Kog is the first ADC that is truly right click to win because he attacks too fast for you to reasonably kite with him. Ever since they changed him I've been disappointed in the balance changes that Riot has been making. Kog didn't need to be reworked and Xin Zhao didn't need a buff. I'm losing some faith in the balance team.

I really like the new kog though... He definetely feels like the hyper carry he is supposed to be with clear weaknesses. I think they emphasized this trademarks really well. I really think Q is not useless, late game that Q will destroy tanks really.

I used to play a lot of kog'maw when I was 1st learning ADC, like, 2 years ago, he was fun this kog'maw is still fun, he does what old kog did, glass cannon hypercarry that snipes low health targets with his R, I would play new kog more if I didn't make it a point not to play stuff that's blatantly overtuned

me too man i enjoyed old kog so much.. then they did this shit to him and made him less enjoyable than any other adc i mean its just pressing w and hoping to kill the enemy team fast enough wow fun
