When Varus was released his bow would glow red after a minion or monster kill and purple after a champion kill. Now after his passive change awhile back now it glows red regardless.
Please change it back to the way it used to be ,not only for clarity but I also think it looked way cooler. Who doesn't want a purple glowing bow after slaying an enemy?!

After the recent lore rework on him, Varus is now the now of a Darkin, ie the bow, not the bow man. Darkins are sentient weapons who were once a race of something that invaded Runeterra that ended up getting rekt and imprisoned into weapons that act as their prisons, I believe.
In the new lore, the host/bow-man body is made from combining 2 male humans into 1, which wields the Darkin weapon, and in this combined entity the ego of the Darkin and the 2 men are blended together.
That's the general gist of the new Varus' lore retcon, I believe.

I remember how he talks about the bow once being his prison and how he is using it to destroy stuff. So, if now it isn't then, he must be inhabiting the body. Additionally, in the music video, it looks like three people are merging, not one.

Varus used valmar and kais bodies as ingredients to create a vessel worthy of his soul, however, unlike Rhaast who first destroys kayns varus couldnt, so he suppresses them instead.

Nintendo 3DS1 votesI thought even the Darkin were just demons, not really the weapons. And that they had a symbiotic relation with their weapons, as sort of extension of them. Later on they are emprisonned inside their weapon and look for a host to get out of said weapons.
At first Darkin were supposed to be the weapons but it seemed that after Rhaast (and now emphased by Varus) Darkin became more like demonic entity wielding extremely magically powerful weapons. Taken from a Riot writter comment, apparently Darkins were even humanoid.

Either way Varus's new lore is really crap compared to the old lore, imo.
