Turrets giving shields was awful. Ziggs and other waveclear mages were pick/ban, and games never ended because you could turtle forever and clear waves. Early leads actually didn't matter as a team could defend against a much stronger team consistently.

This argument is dumb. S5 was also the season of 3 tanks in a team stalling till lategame to become unkillable. Ziggs could only waveclear so great because his R did bonus dmg to minions. Plus, thanks to baron buff working on minions, you can't just waveclear infinitely anymore.

But why? season 7 isn't the greatest I agree, but season 5 and season 6 were WAY worse. I mean, balance-wise it could be better, but we have all those new systems! honor, loot, etc... And the META's are not ridiculous.

basically, the meta suited my playstyle much more and i felt like i could be useful regardless of what role i played, also games werent so short and snowballing wasnt near as big an issue. its just not as fun now as it was before. its actually entirely common to have one team in the others base by 8 minutes. once upon a time that was a hilarious feat, now its typical.

akali had ridiculous R range could os a guy before he could even know she was here , she also diditn even have to auto to proke her Q marl so she could burst someone in > 0,5 sec and basically do that again and again since her ult gets a new charge , had ridiculous dmges and no delay between each use , and azir ??? he got fucked in s6 not 5 , in s5 he was the strongest midlane pick with ryze and viktor he was just broken af and could even send his soldiers to explode on towers and push insanely fast .

" that one rework was in season 6 , season 5 ryze R was jsut buffing his dmges and give him sustain on his spells . that also was the ryze that spammed Q to get 4 stacks and then spamm it even more .

btw im not sure but i think purple smite was here too at this period .

Baron is extremely weak when it first spawns and doesnt get strong until 6 minutes after it spawns most people dont try to get it as it spawns usually they cry enemies all alive when they have 1 of the enemy inhibitors and a large wave of minions pushing to the enemy top inner and bot inhibitor towers so enemies are stuck in a place where they cant contest you even if they know what you are doing.

He may be weak when he first spawns, but there's maybe only a couple champs that can solo him at 20 min now. In the devourer meta basically anyone that benefited from AS and had lifesteal could do it fairly easily.

I know baron is too weak in general, hell I shocked the heck out a team when I soloed it as Zyra while they were pushing the base. What would have been just a good split push top and bot getting a couple towers turned into ending the game.

Funnily enough, even with some of the really bad decisions of s5, s5 worlds was the only one I've really enjoyed. Except for the games where one team wouldn't ban Morde or GP and would just instantly lose, didn't happen often though.

SEASON 4 WAS THE BEST SEASON IMO.

The only things people complained about was Vayne, Yi, Yasuo, Deathfires Grasp, and Wriggles Lantern.

EVERYTHING else was balanced, except kassadin, but he didnt get a rework yet and was a perma ban anyways. Oh and MAYBE Ryze.

Now-a-days, its the opposite, I hate everyone except the champion im currently playing in game. Everything is so gimpy and op that its too fast, everything is frustrating, and theres barely a handful of champs that feel 100% satisfying to both play and play against.

I remember hating the lasers, it was too hard to tell that they were doing damage. I remember seeing most people dislike the lasers as well.

While I prefer the more traditional turret fire, I do wish they dealt more damage. Like before S5. They haven't really dealt enough damage since then.

I seem to remember his when He would go Cinderhulk was his main Jungle item. Nobody batted an eye, and it fell into obscurity.

Implying nexus lazers dont melt tanks just like everything else in the game. Inner turrents when they had shields and gave shields were both stupid. one punished people who played divey champions and that was the 4 poke mage meta back then + ezreal. the other was horrible for bruisers who have to take time to get to the tower and take time to get out of tower range which facilitated the 'tank meta' but if you play top lane carries sucks for you. to this very day.

Yeah, it made his clears a lot healthier. I know it was abused by faster clearing junglers but walking into raptors with it as amumu with his W on and just smiting after 2 seconds to kill everything was satisfying. I was too new at that point to really understand what was really strong or meta but it was good times.

Lol. The laser was useless against tanks. It definitely melted other people (minions especially) but ignoring a lot of armor after about five seconds doesn't change the fact that the laser has like 100 AD and tanks have 4-5k health.
