Is too hard to use successfully. Im better off going darking, I do about the same amount of damage, plus i have more cc and sustain.

Shadow Kayn is better, if you are fed and the enemy team is squishy, but you have to finish the game on time, because you are going to get 1shotted later. Red Kayne builds semi-tank, so you don't have this problem.

On assasin you have to play really well, you can't afford to throw just like any other assasin if you get behind with it your useless, while darkin form is more useful from behind due to cc, and it scales really well into the lategame because it allows you to shred tanks and duel people highly effectively.

SA is not worth it. To get there you already have to get about 2 kill with regular garbage kayn. And if you somehow managed to get those 2 kills with such a garbage champions would it not have been better for you to have played a good jungler in the first place?.

For me, it's quite the opposite.

I can do well with Shadow Assassin, but with Darkin I just feel so useless, lol.

Shadow kayn=mid laner

Red kayn=Top/Jng

That's how it is, and how it will be.

mid doesn't really work from my experience. You get raped by ranged characters and are heavily reliant on jungler intervention.

Mid does work, it's just that it still isn't being properly utilized since it's new and people give up too easily. Used it multiple times just because of the synergy between DoT and kayn, which everyone tends to gloss over for fervor which doesn't even gear anywhere close of a benefit.
