He feels very akin to Jax / Irelia to me. Dash up to them. Hit them a lot. Do the thing that makes it so they can't get away as easy so you can auto them some more. Auto auto auto. Are you behind? Whelp too bad you have no fallback pattern. Guess you just lose lane now.

I thought we were past such binary designs riot. I've enoyed all the new releases for a while but I feel like Kled is a step backwards in terms of kit design. Beneath all those fancy bells and whistles he's basically a Season 1 champion.

I agree, the nature of his kit (especially his ult) kinda scream a balance nightmare. Is he ahead? Well then he's just a high damage bruiser with insane sticking power. Is he behind? Then he's just a piss poor tank with abilities that assist him in dying quicker. He doesn't bring much thematic identity to the game or team, and it seems that he's just another champion who's playrate is dependent on the "this champion can do what xxx can do but better" paradigm

The only thing I really see him bringing to the table is his ult for team fight initiations but if you're not ahead he's not going to do much after that. No really hard CC other than the tether that's pretty minor and easy to get away from. All his damage comes from being point blank auto attacking so if you can't delete someone and you don't have utility in a team fight, you're basically just a health bar. And if you're ahead it can be overbearing when it's just a wall of HP and auto attack damage. Ahead Jax / Irelia are never fun to play against, and I'm sure Kled will be similar.
