What does it mean when you're only get 14-16 lp per win but 20-22 per loss?

What does this say about my MMR? Does it mean anything?

A 50/50 rate while losing more LP than gaining means you'll actually drop down a division until the gains and losses balance out.

It just means your MMR ( Which is what actually matters ) isn't high enough for your profile Rank / Division "badge."

you are going up against people at a much lower rank than yourself, your MMR should be higher. This sort of thing would happen if say, a gold player played against silver plays and lost frequently.

Your wins matter less because the enemy is lower rank, you are expected to be able to beat them. Your losses matter more because you lost to people worse than you. It's a shitty place to be in, for sure.

It means you're higher than where your MMR thinks you should be at. If you can sustain a 50/50 or better rate it'll stop doing that.

It means you're climbing past what your mmr is (it climbs/degrades slower than LP gains). You can overcome this by winning more than you lose (which raises mmr).

Basically, it's trying to hold you back a bit. But this is not a bad thing. It prevents people from rising ranks too early when they're not ready, and it doesn't hinder those who deserve to climb too much if they have a positive win rate.

Riot decied that players couldn't handle knowing what their true ranking was so made a bandaid called league points, this point means almost nothing considering it is fact highly effected by your MMR, which is your true current ranking. This new system is dumb and has been since it was implemented.
