Can you please add "calling for reports on other players" into the subset text of unsportsmanlike?

This is a rule that a lot of players don't know about.

I'm still seeing report johnny for feeding, etc. in almost every game.

I feel like some text needs to be added to the new client under unsportsmanlike conduct or verbal abuse.

Maybe even give it it's own box to check because it is that prevalent.

No, it's harassment, not unsportsmanlike

It shouldn't be against the rules.

If you can make a case as to why a certain player is ruining the game, why should you be punished?

I personally think anyone who reports another player for anything but picking Lee Sin needs grow the fuck up...

But if you have a rude team mate who takes someone elses role, or trollpicks because their champ was banned... In the spirit of asskissing the Riot system, wouldn't you want them to get some Instant Feedback for their punishment even faster?

Calling for reports is already against ToS and |unsportsmanlike attitude"

Calling for Reports is counted as a form of Harrassment. Harrassment is reportable. It is also known as "Report Soliciting" which (as far as I have been told in support tickets) is against the ToS If someone is doing something reportable, report them. But you are not allowed to use the report function as a bludgeon to beat people over the head with it, Nor are you allowed to turn it into a witchhunt by "/all Report X for...."

So yeah, if you want to report someone, fine, do it quietly and by yourself. But you are not allowed to dogpile the other players onto 1 person by calling for reports from the other team.

Thats why people do it so often. Because no one calls them out on it. No one tells them that by them calling for reports on others, THEY THEMSELVES have commited a reportable offence. So Reports: Keep it silent, Keep it to yourself. Gonna report? DO IT. But you arent allowed to sick everyone else in the match on one person.

so was johnny feeding tho?

EndlessSorcerer12/6/2016, 2:55:29 PM3 votes

AFAIK, that would fall under Harassment.

It would be beneficial though considering how many players don't know how the report system works.

Sometimes calling for a report is justified. Say cases when your teammate keeps afking. The enemy team might not realize it so it is something that could get attention called to it. Chances are though, the enemy team won't report the guy who afked on your team or even the feeder. Why would they, your afk/feeder just helped them win the game. Which brings us to the point, calling for a report normally won't get someone to do it so it is pretty pointless. I will sometimes do it for the afker/rage quitter but even then,it is rare.

The thing I hate the most is when your having a bad game and your losing lets say 0/5 but its obvious your trying and someone says: /all report champion for intentionally feeding

I'm still seeing report johnny for feeding, etc. in almost every game.

I'd just like to point out, even if it's clearly stated in black and white 'do this' 'don't do that' people will still do it.

I mean I get a 'ggez' in at least 1/3rd of games still..

So yeh, Riot directly leaving a msg saying 'don't say report (player you want reported)' People are still gonna do it.

But it probably should be directly in the summoner code, just so there's less ground for people getting banned to whine about it and say it was uncalled for/unfair/they weren't toxic/etc

KoKoboto12/6/2016, 7:49:20 PM1 votes

I find most often I ask a person to get reported I end up with a "The person you reported got punished" or something along those lines.

Riot needs to be more clear about everything tbh

I see what you're saying but about a reporting johnny for feeding meta.

They have defined certain things as being toxic when said.

I've never heard of that shifting. It seems like once something is on the shit list it stays.

Furthermore this behavior is tied to a feature of the game that isn't going anywhere.

It's not like people were saying wubbalubbadubdubbbbs! and that was considered toxic for a time then people stopped saying it and it became ok again.

We have no precedent that anything that is punishable has become nonpunishable, and again this behavior is tied directly into a feature so I feel like even if things could fall in and out of punishment this is something that can be on the permanent shit list along with racism etc.

"unsportsmanlike" report is gone in the new client anyway.

Shaco my BFF12/7/2016, 1:42:35 PM1 votes

Yeah, report Johnny, that Cpt. Douche.

EchoZeero12/7/2016, 8:12:36 PM1 votes

Soliciting a report is against the rules, yet in season 6 I was banned for 2 weeks and lost 2600+ teamwork after my own team of premade 4 trolled me, left me to die in every teamfight and convinced the other team I was feeding on purpose. It's against the rules but Rito does not act or enforce it. Trolling is not punished and players like me who never even got a single warning since 2012 get abused by a shitty system.
