After the botrk changes, zed has arguably one of the best build diversity of all AD assassins, I ask you what is the best zed build overall? and more importantly why does everyone love this attack speed crit zed? its very unlikely that in a teamfight people will let you AA them, especially with very little sustain and no HP nor tankyness.

You are incredibly fast to AA and it has a chance to crit + 20 FLAT ARP
Bork is good for dueling, though I've heard some rush Hydra for more burst in their build, but Zed is pretty well capable of building whatever.
As for Youmuu's, it simply gives a lot of good things for what it does, and if you get a crit now and then, great, your ult will do even more damage.
I get yoummu's just because I split push all day every day, and it's just so much easier to shred turrets with. Zed's waveclear, turret shred and dueling just makes him better off as a split pusher.
