Volibear needs to be looked at.

I played 2 games vs a volibear today, one directly VS and the other I was the jungle. 1st game I was vlad, I helped my jungle leash, Voli did not so he hit level 2 about 15 seconds before I did. because of that, he also hit level 3 first, and since he hit level 3 first, he just all inned me and killed me, I didn't have pool yet so I was powerless. I simply TP'ed back to lane played a bit more passive, and started to farm. As soon as the wave got past tower, he flew out of a bush with a stupid amount of movespeed and killed me again, didn't even matter that I had pool didn't even pop his passive. I soon ask our udyr for a gank, Keep in mind we have only a difference of 20 CS but he has 2 levels and 2 kills above me, udyr has been farming like a madman so he is only 1 level behind voli. Udyr runs in, stuns him I put my ult down, I just do a standard combo to kill him, all the while udyr is fighting him too, Instead of running away he fights, and walks away with a doublekill. didn't even get low enough to proc his passive too. He proceeded to nearly instantly Kill our adc alone, and walk out. we lost that game. The second game I was jungle zac, Voli was top again. our lulu killed him twice, so she was far ahead in that lane. At around 12 minutes Volibear starts to kill the ahead lulu 1v1, and after lulu got killed 3 times I decided to try and shut him down, I E'd in got lulu ulted and we were just doing everything to kill him. he walks away with a double kill because he is 1 kill ahead of lulu. we lost that game too because voli did the same thing as the other game.

TL:DR Volibear snowballs off of anything, and he snowballs as hard as akali or kat too. while being far more tanky and still dealing good burst. He needs to not be god after 10 minutes of getting good to subpar farm.

you really need to work on how you play if you are dying so much lol. voli really isnt that good.

Pay better attention and play more defensively, Vloi is predictable af and easy to counter once you realize what hes doing.

Ok then, if he's so bad, how do you counter him besides "playing defensively" because you can tell people to "play defensively" about any champ, but does it work 100% of the time? no.

Volibear really is a 1 trick pony. As Vlad you really should of got pool level 1 or 2 knowing the match up. Voli going in for a Q is completely negated by your pool. Second do what other players here have mentioned, play passive, even under turret if you have too. Vlad is a ranged champion, you should of been able to sap the life from Volibear without ever getting into harms way. He has no way of healing himself outside of pots and his passive, so it should be an easy win. If you tries to all in you, puddle to tower, or flash, or make sure you also have boots.

Aside from his Q, he also has no escape or mobility. He should be very easy to gank. If you and you've jungler cannot take him down, then you both really need to start understanding the champion you are using. If anythin Voli needs a buff, as he is pretty useless in this meta. Any ranged champion can kite him to death. He basically has to flash in, and Q an ADC that doesn't have half a brain to score any type of play. Even then most voli's play tanky, and an ADC can win in a 1 vs 1 brawl against him.

Also another thing to keep in mind; I am not sure how proficient you are with Voli and Zac, but most people that play niche champions Like Volibear, know the character quite well. Since you don't know the champ, you obviously don't know his weaknesses where as since he plays the champ a lot, he very well knows the strengths, and will go in on the fights he is certain to win, throwing you off guard.

Now is just the time to understand how to beat him next game with the strats issued from me and other players.
